Now, maybe it's a classic coming back home and he's reinvigorated, but that's the type of deal, which I think is going to happen more than we've seen in the past, where it'd be a player in and a player out, because where would you fit him in?
Right. Like, you've got Ernie Clement at second. Jimenez, who's not playing tonight and has sort of a nagging injury, but, you know, he's your shortstop and one of the best defensive infielders. Okamoto's been one of your bright spots.

He's at third. You know, it's... And I hope, whether it's the Blue Jays or not, that is what I find the most exciting thing about this deadline, is the prospect of real trades. Not to go back in time here and show my age, and this is during the offseason, but the big trade that spurred the Jays to win World Series is Alomar and Carter. traded to Toronto for Fred McGriff and Tony Fernandez. Sure. It's asking a lot to see a trade of that magnitude, especially during the season, but it'd be interesting to see if you have a team that needs pitching and a team that needs hitting, and they get together and they try to make both teams better.
It'll be kind of fascinating because as you say, the Mets are so far out of it, 15 and a half games out of the NL East lead and pretty much a lost season already for the Mets that they're one of the few teams that's already said the white flag has flown. They're not even really... They have to. They're 11 and a half out of the wild card even though the third wild card has kept most teams alive, especially in the American League, but But they can't keep every team alive. When you're that bad, you're just that bad. But it'll be kind of fun to watch these next couple of weeks before the August 3rd trade deadline to see. It does feel like there's a lot of teams that are kind of in between, right? Like the Blue Jays.
