The NL East is always weird. There's always turnover there. They're in a wild card. They're in a wild card spot right now. And Bryce Harper's been there for a while. They've been a good team for a while. They've generally spent money. And we got back-to-back clips here. Harper on the trade deadline. And then his manager, Don Mattingly, responding to Harper on the trade deadline.
Some help, you know. But, you know, I think we've proved, you know, pretty much all year we've done a pretty good job. But, you know, anytime you can get some help in here and reinforcements, I think it helps. Bryce said last time to the game he thinks that the team needs a little bit of help at the deadline. He's never really backed away from trying to get guys... We're trying to get better. We're going to try to get better at Deadline, so... Leave it at that.

I think Mattingly maybe kept going. And some of the quotes I've seen online, you know, kind of Mattingly sticking up for the rest of the team and suggesting that if you're saying we need help, then what you're saying is there's someone on this team that's not good enough. which is probably accurate. I mean, ultimately, that's what you're saying. Like, Harper's not worried about his security.
