And here's Bryce Harper, who has cursed out the commissioner in their locker room. So, you know, you've got kind of two guys who, I don't know if they budge, I think they bang into each other, but you might get mutual respect out of that.

And I'm curious where you stand on the Otani conspiracy theory. Where does this one rank for you? in terms of the all-time sports conspiracies? Because this is not going to die. It's going to be around forever, regardless of how you feel, you know, whether or not he knew nothing, whether or not he was truly a victim, which I believe he likely was. But where do you stand on, you know, how compelling is the Otani-Gamble sports conspiracy for you?
Well, and I spoke to Tish a couple days ago about the podcast, and, you know, the fact that you're talking to the interpreter... and he does a 90-minute interview and then calls back the next day and tells her that everything he said was a lie. So there's more to this. I think the problem that bothered me, the NBA has spent 10 months investigating Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers. It felt like the Otani interpreter gambling controversy, it felt like they wrapped that up in a week. And so I have a little bit of problem. I have a big problem with that. Like, you know, this is your guy. He's with you. Ohtani wasn't married at the time. Like, this guy's with you constantly. You're reading body language if all of a sudden, you know, you've lost $5 million.
I mean, unless he has the great poker face. Well, hopefully he didn't play poker either, but... It feels like there's something more there. I just don't know if I can let Otani off the hook and say, how do you not get, you know, like any update from your bank? Hey, somebody just, you know, withdrew $5 million. I just, I find that hard to believe. Otani's made a lot of money, but I would think that the bank would just make sure that you knew that somebody I got, you know, my bank called me today and said, hey, a fraud alert. And they looked at my penmanship that doesn't match my other checks that I wrote. It was for $16,000, but they called me. So that's just on penmanship, not, hey, you know, somehow $5 million is missing, another $5 million.
And when you're betting and losing $40 million? Yeah. I find that hard to believe, Brian.
I clearly got to change my bank. My bank doesn't call me for anything. Either that or I'm not making nearly enough money for my bank to call me. No kidding. Dan, John Marossi is reporting that the Dodgers' interest in Tarek Skubal has increased because they're not sure about Shohei's availability to pitch. Are you in the camp where you think it's better for the game if markets like the Dodgers and the Yankees are in the World Series and competitive, or are you just fatigued on the Dodgers just getting everybody all the time?
Well, the Dodgers didn't do anything wrong. They just took advantage of an opportunity. Because growing up, covering sports in the Northeast for almost my entire career, the Yankees were the evil empire.
