They won Game 7 on Saturday night, and we have an Adam Silver wet dream of an NBA Finals with the New York Knicks going up against Wembley and the future face of this league, It's going to be incredible. Wimby is the future. He is the future. I think the current, maybe even current face of this. He's everything. I feel like this is viral marketing for the Age of Disclosure movie that's coming out. Having Wimby in the finals in New York. I was, again, I love watching the Spurs play. That was a fun game seven. It was. I wanted that series to keep going on because I love the bad blood.
I love the back-and-forth fighting. I love how it seemed to be personal for both teams and both fan bases. That's what you like to see. But now we get to see the Spurs kind of break convention. They're so young. They haven't lost in the playoffs really before. They haven't been in the playoffs before. They won't be able to build teams like the Spurs in the same way anymore because the rules have changed in terms of getting top picks in the NBA draft. So it's kind of crazy that they are so young to buck all the convention and get it done against a battle-tested team, returning champion like the Thunder in Game 7. Nobody expects that, and they just impose their will. No, it was incredible to watch. It does not happen.
This team, you're supposed to lose before you win in the NBA. And going into Game 7, I thought Thunder were going to win. You thought the Thunder were going to win by a lot. And what happened was the Spurs just didn't blink. They were unafraid. The shots they hit in that fourth quarter, I think they had all starters in 10 points or more. Every time they needed a big shot, they got it. The Luke Cornett block... You can't tell the story of the 2025-2026 NBA season without Luke Cornett because he had two of the biggest blocks of the year.
