I'm speaking at the Edmonton Public Library on September the 29th. And then after that talk in Edmonton, I'm getting on the red eye and flying to Boston, Massachusetts to do three talks at Cambridge, Massachusetts. The first one is at the Media Lab, the Post-American Internet. That is technically open to Media Lab students only. I bet you could sneak in. It is MIT. They like hackers. Then I'm doing a talk at an MIT conference, so you'll need a conference badge to get to that. Me and Jessica Rosenworsel, who used to be the chair of the Federal Communications Commission under Biden, are speaking at the MTech Conference, rethinking our relationship with AI.
And then the one that's open to the public, co-sponsored by Harvard's Berkman-Klein Center. Center and Northeastern Computer Science. It is called The Paradox of Inchidification Reverse Centaurs. It's at 6 p.m. at the Lewis Law Center, and there's a room in that one. And you do need to RSVP, although I bet you could just walk in too. If you are attending the Green Party Conference in Brighton, I will be there on October the 3rd to give a talk with the open rights group called Digital Sovereignty and the Post-American Internet. And then I'm going back. To the US. I'll be in Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana on October the 6th, and at the Hudson Library in Hudson, Ohio on October the 7th. And then I'm getting a very early flight to Calgary.

I'll be in Winnipeg at McNally Robinson on October the 9th. And then in Paris for the Slow Tech Summit on October the 15th. Then I'm going back to Vancouver and Victoria. So I'm doing two talks at the Vancouver Writers Festival on the 19th and 22nd of October. The first is a panel called Read, Resist, Repair, Rejoice. And the second is a solo talk, Life After AI. And then on the 20th, in between those two talks, I'm going to Victoria to speak at Monroe's Books. I'm going to be in Ottawa at the Writers' Festival on October the 24th to give a talk called Life After AI. And I'll Be in Kilkenny in Ireland for the Kilconomics Comedy and Economics Festival on November 6th through 8th. Then I'm doing a talk on Vancouver Island, a place I've never been before on November the 10th at the Sid Williams Theatre, called in Shidification.
I'm keynoting in Vancouver the BC Policy Solutions Gala on November the 12th. And then all the way next September, I will be in Montreal to be the The Toastmaster at the World Science Fiction Convention. So lots going on in my life, as you can hear, lots of travelling and speaking. Working on the novel and writing the pluralistic newsletter. I'm going to read you something from pluralistic today. And one thing that I thought I would highlight is this is the 25th anniversary of 9-11, but it's the 20th anniversary of the hair gel bomb plot, the thing that made us stop having water on airplanes, the war on moisture. And in the object permanence section of the newsletter, pluralistic, where I Go through the old links.
I'm resurfacing all these bonker stories from 25 years ago and 20 years ago when the world was just thrashing on this stuff. And it is quite amazing.

You know, I call that section in the newsletter Object Permanence because it helps me remember the things that happened. And going back through that and seeing just how mad our response to that crisis was. It really puts the more recent crises, particularly COVID, into sharper relief. So I would gently suggest to you that you have a look at recent pluralistic editions and the forthcoming ones just to see just how weird the world was 20 and 25 years ago after these aviation terror crises.
