【English Ver.】PTSD:Conflict to Cooperation Ep.65

19 Oct 2025

Description

🟢Episode Summary: Reframing PTSD and Trauma Through the Lens of LoveHello everyone, and thank you for joining me after a short hiatus. In this episode, I delve into the profound mental health topic of Complex PTSD and trauma, something I have lived with for almost my entire life. This realization began one morning during my walk when a powerful thought struck me: this trauma belongs to me, and no one else. This insight brought forth a warm, gentle feeling (a "pokapoka" feeling) and the sincere choice to love that part of myself.I was able to shift my perspective, viewing trauma not as an adversary, but as a wonderful "gift" that sought to protect me. This perspective is rooted in the essential idea of working in cooperation with the body and mind, rather than opposition. Letting go of conflict brought a profound sense of ease and relief to my body and soul—a feeling of surrender rather than resistance.By shedding the fears stemming from past experiences, we can truly savor the beauty and joy present everywhere and in everyone. I believe that directing a warm, loving gaze, even towards our trauma, is the true path to nurturing a supple and certain strength. 🔵Scientific Understanding and Self-Recovery This personal awakening was significantly inspired by an episode of The Mel Robbins Show, hosted by the bestselling author and motivational speaker, Mel Robbins. The episode I listened to featured Dr. Jessica Shepherd, a hormone specialist, offering a scientific explanation focused on women's hormones and health.Dr. Shepherd emphasized that hormonal imbalances are not inevitable but can be improved through scientific understanding and proper care. Furthermore, she highlighted that achieving health and happiness is possible by choosing to cooperate with our bodies, regardless of age, rather than opposing them. I realized this same spirit of "cooperation" applies directly to the process of trauma recovery and achieving greater self-acceptance.Important Update from Sophie’s RadioI have graduated from Stand.FM, the Japanese voice distribution platform where I hosted over 1,150 episodes during the last five years.
