Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Sounders, hello. Mick here to cheer you up by talking about emotions on Pompey Sound because I'm an emotional declaimer, I've decided. I like to declaim emotionally.
Chapter 2: What emotions does Mick express about Pompey's recent performance?
It's not for everyone. Some people will run away from emotion like it's kryptonite. They see it as a weakness. It gives away too much, perhaps. Well, I welcome emotion, unless it gets just too dark for comfort. And anyway, I'm not sure we control these things ourselves. It's just how we are individually.
I get emotional about Pompey and my ramblings on our fortunes have become a bit dark in the last few games because we've lost them and things aren't going well, are they? But I've decided it's too early to see our team as a relegated one. Many games, many points, many unexpected results will still come our way. I did say after QPR Sounders, don't go in too hard on our chairman.
And that was to all the keyboard warriors who were so angry with the state of play, so finding it so important to find someone to lash out at. And a lot of them choose to lash out on Michael Eisner. Don't. Sounders, don't get your eyes muddled up with your trumps. I think I said this. Don't get your eyes muddled up with your trumps. I can see why it's possible to confuse the two.
They're both elderly white Americans.
They both are a bit arrogant. They're both obsessed with their families. They both employ their own sons. They both are doing their best to make the family richer.
spending too much time on the golf course. Actually, I'm not sure, certainly about that last one, but I'm not sure any of those things are true about Michael Eisner. But it is true of the other one. So don't get them muddled. To be honest, actually, I think there are a small minority
of our Pompey fans who just plain hate Americans, whether they're the leader of the Western world or our own owner. You know the type. Kin Yanks. Kin Yanks. It's mindless and it's racism. This is Pompey Sound, and I'm not going to waste your time trying to defend the indefensible Trump, but Michael Eisner, come on.
Who foresaw our current plight coming down the barrel on August the 9th at Oxford last summer? Oh, everyone now, is it? I doubt it. But if you read the social media, you'd think it was everyone at the time. But it's simply not true. No one foresaw the end of this season like it's becoming.
The Eisners sit eight or nine hours of time difference away and they rely on PO4 to communicate with them, to tell them the truth about the strength of the squad and the cost of recruitment at championship level. What's more, they're new to the game.
