I mean, I have to say, if a show called Dying for Sex cracked you wide open, it certainly did in an unexpected way. I mean, Lauren, this is how good I found it to be. I was telling mom about it. And this show is like totally PG-13, if not R-rated. I said, mom, it's pretty R-rated.

And I actually feel a little bit ashamed telling her that I watched it. But it is about sex, but it's also about female friendship and life. And it's just, it's a masterpiece. So that's all. I have a lot of hope that I will watch this show and I'll tell you why.
Because at my current age, you know, in the season of my life, I'm not as interested in like a – okay, you're already rolling your eyes. Because it's like you're acting like it's like the winter of your life or something.

I mean, I am 35. And so I am just less interested in like tell me lies. I'm less interested in early 20s, you know, hot and heavy romances. But you know what I am interested in? Like grief stricken widows. I'm interested in women who are just like reckoning with their own mortality, with what their marriage means.
Like this actually, for some reason, I'm hungering to watch it based on your description. I think you're going to love it. I think it's going to be really good for you to watch. It's definitely powerful. It's extremely moving. And you know what?

I just have to give myself credit because I contain multitudes. I can watch Tell Me Lies, a show that I will say the writing isn't next level. And I can also watch Dying for Sex. That's my personal update. I am discovering new media, new art to, you know, to encounter and to, you know, just reckon with all the time. I'm getting cracked wide open. Okay. Well, so glad to hear about that. I will say the one thing that Heather McDonald said on Juicy Scoop that has stuck with me. I mean, so many things. It's like when you listen to a podcaster,
they get into your brain and like the things that they say all the time become things you think. And it's really such like an intimate thing. And anyway, one of the things that Heather McDonald always says is that basically like a lot of women divorce their husbands after they have cancer because
Because they they just feel like like they basically saw how they were treated during that experience and like the level of care. And they're like, basically, once it's done, they're just like, I want this fucker out of the house. And I always think about that. I don't know. I kind of want to like do some not role playing, but I just want to. Yeah. Where are we going with this? You started this.
It's okay to abandon this sentence halfway through. I just want to – I don't know. Is it like appropriate to be like, how would you treat me if I had cancer? Is it appropriate? I don't know. It's like you can't really find that out until it's happening. It's kind of like the sick fantasy where you're like, what would my ex think if he found out I died? Yeah, exactly.
It's like who would show up at the funeral? Yeah. You know? Yeah. Anyway, some of these things you can only learn – in real time, in the 4D world. Can we just reflect back on the time where we fantasized on this podcast about the type of run-in we'd like to have with our ex? Because that happened. That was an excellent segment. That was like three weeks ago, basically. Yeah.
Anyway, I was just thinking about it recently. But yes, lots has happened outside of our personal life in the real world. And I'm very excited to dig into everything with you. Where should we begin? I'm so excited too. And I just want to say on the cancer front, I just always think about it because like they say basically that men leave women so much more during illness than women leave men.
And so anyway, it's just like one of these facts, these harrowing facts, it's like stuck in my consciousness. This is so depressing. This is such a depressing note to be in the show. I was trying to veer us out of here and you're like, one more thing. You're the one who literally brought up a show about a woman reckoning with like a terminal illness and her husband.
Yeah, but I was like, it's triumphant. It's about female friendship. And you're like, well, you know, the statistics don't lie. All the time with cancer. Okay, everybody, let's pull back from the brink. We're only six minutes in. Let's do our best today on this program. Where do you want to start? Where do you want to begin?
