Jake Returns From Europe, Midweek Colts Update As Patriots, Frankfurt, Approaches, Nate Atkins, Rapheal Davis, Mike Vorkunov Join

(00:00-23:43) – Query & Company opens on a Wednesday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the week-long vacation that he went on. Jake tells some stories where he got in trouble for recording something, an issue he had when he took the rental car back, and recaps his experience at the Anne Frank house. (23:43-44:11) – The Athletic’s Mike Vorkunov joins Query & Company to highlight the news last week regarding the future of NBA franchises broadcast rights with Bally Sports/Diamond Sports Group after this season, what kind of market he expects for Buddy Hield if the Pacers were to make him available via trade, how he’s gauging the start of the in-season tournament, if he thinks there’s a rival team out there that would have interest in Daniel Theis after his successful FIBA tournament run, and shares some expectations for the All-Star game with it being 100 days away. (44:11-44:44) – Hour one concludes with Jake giving away a pair of tickets for a listener to go see Creed! (44:44-1:09:35) – Nate Atkins from the Indianapolis Star joins the program and receives traveling advice from Jake with him flying to Germany. He tried to predict what kind of defensive scheme he expects from Bill Belichick, to limit the Colts running game, how involved he expects Zack Moss to be within the offense moving forward, who he would expect to step up if Josh Downs can’t suit up on Sunday morning, and if it’s normal for all players, coaches, and practice squad members to travel with the team. (1:09:35-1:20:39) – Before Jake and Jimmy started talking with Nate Atkins, he provided some gifts from his trip to Jimmy and Eddie. He hands them the second part of their gifts and then shares some more stories from his trip to Europe. (1:20:39-1:27:02) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake and Jimmy discussing if there has been less hype around signing day for college basketball today compared to previous years. Additionally, they highlight the news of Butler AD Barry Collier announcing his retirement with Jake providing an explanation as to whom he thinks will be replacing him. (1:27:02-1:47:32) – The final hour of the program with Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie starts with the guys discussing the Manningcast with the numbers down from previous years. Jake asks the other two if they watch the Manningcast and if they would watch during their favorite teams playing. Additionally, they touch on the ratings of the World Series between the Rangers/Diamondbacks. (1:47:32-2:03:19) –Former Purdue Boilermaker and current BTN Analyst Rapheal Davis joins Query & Company with Jake and Jimmy to share his assessment on the Hoosiers pulling out the win over Florida Gulf Coast last night, how important it is for a team to have a player like Gabe Cupps, what his biggest concern is with Purdue and IU, and why he thinks national signing day for college recruits is losing steam. (2:03:19-2:06:19) – Today’s show ends with Jimmy sharing the JCook Plays of the Day (which features bets for tonight’s Pacers-Jazz game.
