Query & Company
Purdue and IU Win, but Pacers Disappoint. Don Fischer, Mike Chappell, and Eric Froton Join!
04 Mar 2024
(00:00-26:22) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison sharing their thoughts on the Pacers losing last night to San Antonio at the hands of Victor Wembanyama. They debate on what’s going on with Tyrese Haliburton before touching on the wins for Purdue and Indiana. (26:22-48:28) – Don Fischer makes his weekly appearance on Query & Company with Jake Query & Jimmy Cook to recap Indiana’s wins last week over Wisconsin and Maryland, previews their upcoming game against Minnesota later this week, praises Mike Woodson and his staff for the job that they have done with Kel’el Ware this season, and really likes what he has seen from Mackenzie Mgbako the last handful of games. (48:28-53:59) – Hour one concludes with Jake asking everyone what they did over the weekend because he did something for the first time with Shannon. (52:03-1:24:59) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, from CBS4 and FOX59 joins the program to share his takeaways from the NFL Combine, states that the Colts should take a wide receiver early and then add one in free agency, accesses the tight end room with the hype around Brock Bowers picking up locally, and reveals that he believes the Colts should add a veteran cornerback over another rookie cornerback because Kenny Moore could or could not be the only veteran corner in the room. (1:24:59-1:40:42) – Last night Tyrese Haliburton logged consecutive games without a three for the first time since the first two games on ’21-’22. This leads to Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie discussing what they believe to be going on with the Pacers All-Star. They debate if it would be worthwhile to let him have a game or two off to recharge the battery. (1:40:42-1:43:29) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake providing a weather update and a story about him as a telemarketer. (1:43:29-2:14:33) – NBC Sports lead College Football Analyst, Eric Froton, joins Query & Company to discuss the impact Xavier Worthy’s 40-yard dash could have on his draft stock, which position is the hardest to translate to the NFL, states that edge rushers are the guys that really wow scouts and front office members in combine testing, admits he loves IU hiring Curt Cignetti, and thinks highly of the future of the Purdue Boilermakers underneath Ryan Walters. (2:14:33-2:26:21) – Jake pays off his tease and asks Jimmy and Eddie what football stadium and basketball arena they would first want to go see out of the new Big Ten teams next season. Additionally, JMV joins the guys in studio to share his experience at Indiana State yesterday. (2:26:21-2:31:47) – Today’s show ends with the JCook Plays of the Day with conference tournaments starting tonight and JMV discussing the environment at Indiana State last night.Support the show: https://1075thefan.com/query-and-company/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
