Number one. What was your biggest takeaway from the Bears preseason finale?

My biggest takeaway was that TJ Edwards, starting linebacker for the Chicago Bears, looked very sharp. And I needed to see it because of all the injuries last year. And this is a player who had never really been injured in his life. He did not a player that missed games, but last year scared me. Getting a little bit older scared me. And being hurt during the offseason program scared me. Is TJ Edwards gonna be back? To being TJ Edwards, and he looked like TJ Edwards in the game. He looked sharp against the run.

What was the biggest takeaway from the Bears preseason finale?

He looked really good in coverage. He made like an open field tackle to begin the game. It reminded me of the Bears' first preseason game where Devin Bush was making all the plays early on, and I kind of needed to see that too, because I know Devin Bush is good, but does he look good with the Bears? So my biggest takeaway is that TJ Edwards, Bears' starting linebacker. Linebacker look like the TJ Edwards, who was one of the most effective tacklers and players for the Bears defense a couple of years ago and prior to that as well.

I had doubt. I did, just because of what what as painful literally for him as a year as it was for him, and then you start to think, is he going to recover? Will a player who is not known for necessarily for his athleticism and speed, will he lose a step because of that? And then just being banged up to begin the season, I think he started on pop this year. Like all all of that like l led up to me just questioning because it happens with any Player that's starting to get older and into their 30s. Like, does he still does he still have it? Because that's just not a position that the Bears can afford to have any issues with, considering the issues with the defensive line and the secondary. I want linebacker to be locked in.

Don't have to worry about that. Obviously, you need some depth at the linebacker position because there's only four of them right now. But TJ Edwards, when healthy, is one of the best players low key on the Bears defense and I saw what I needed to see from him in that game.

I think for me it was I it's obvious whenever you open up with that play, shot play called to Xavion Thomas. Hey, this is what the Bears defense and the offense can do. This is what Tyson Bajan can do, by the way. Yeah. How about that? For all the knocks he gets about his arm strength, that was by my count at least about thirty-six yards in the air.
