Okay, so the best was Saturday, correct? 11-0. You're taking it to Paul Skeens. Shadi Managa's like, take that, critics, a.k.a. Layla. You owe me another apology. And then Pete Cor Armstrong's out here just getting on base again to a ridiculous clip, as we mentioned. It was a complete win. There's no other way to have that happen other than saying that. I think the other part of this, too, is that... They took two of three against the Pirates, so they sealed the deal. And they had dropped the first game of a couple of their past series. The Tigers won really bothered me on a weird level.

And then I don't know why. I don't know why that's just one of those games that will sit with me.
It was out of the All-Star break. You can't lose the first.
At home in extras and you have seven relievers.
But just losing two out of three to Detroit pissed me right off. And we said it here on Friday. The Cubs have to take care of business against Pittsburgh this weekend. And they damn did.
Well, and that's it. So, number one, you win the game one of your series, and number two, you just went out there and laid the wood to the team. Like, that was an incredibly solid outing, no matter what you do, 11-0. And, you know, in theory, a football scorer got me, if you're thinking about football, which I already am. So, that was it. I think... The worst is, unfortunately, Jamison Tyone allowing seven earned runs and just the grand slam and the home runs and not knowing where he stands in a starting rotation that desperately needed him to be consistent. And that's the hardest part about all of this is... A guy who you know will tell you what went wrong, but when you can't prevent it from happening, that's what makes it hard.
So that was my best and that was my worst.

But allow me, if I may, to go hipster on this answer in the name of our guy, Ian Happ. Let me take you back to the Friday game where the Cubs win. They beat the Pirates 3-2 in 10 innings. But Ian Happ in the seventh inning in a 1-1 game makes the catch out in left field and then the throw out at the plate to save the game at that moment.
And then just for the hell of it, Ian Happ went ahead and scored the go-ahead run on the go-ahead hit by Dansby Swanson in the 10th inning on a terrific slide as well. Had to avoid, and I think it would have been maybe PCA who was guiding him on the slide. I'm not sure if I'm giving credit to the proper player, but there was a player, Cubs player, as they do on deck, not just telling him to get down, but telling him specifically where to slide and what portion of the plate on which to slide.
And you know what else? I have not been as mad at Quinton Berry this year. truth like there's only been like one time there was there you were mad at him one time i was yes what was that game because marshall and i kind of disagreed we were like it was an aggressive said yeah for me it was mason miller right i well yes it was mason miller because we were like it's mason miller i just cannot stop think about mason miller that doesn't sound strange or weird
I was thinking of a different one, but that's okay. There was a Michael Bush send, but everybody disagreed with me. Everyone disagreed with me. Everyone else was like, yeah, it was fine. The send was fine. Bushy.
