Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
It's time for Five On It. Raheem Harrison-Rowdy. Bring you five topics on their minds today. On 104.3 The Score.
I got five on it.
Chapter 2: What are the five key NFL Draft topics discussed in the episode?
Number one. Five On It is brought to you by AlmostFreeTeeth.com. Save on dental implants today. Here's question number one. If you could move up for any player in the NFL draft for the Bears, who would it be?
Okay, I'm not just saying this because we talked about him earlier, but I think it probably is Bailey out of Texas Tech, right? I have a whole thing written about him in my notebook. That's a pretty good person to move up for. I wrote about him in my diary. Dear diary. Dear diary. I love David Bailey from Texas Tech.
Chapter 3: Who is the ideal player to trade up for in the NFL Draft?
I really kind of did, though. Dear diary. Six foot four, 251 pounds, 13 and a half sacks last year, 17 and a half tackles for loss, explosive first step, athletic 405 bench, runs at 22.16 miles an hour. What's legit Ben? What's not to love? Like I wrote about him in my football diary.
So I think if there was an ideal scenario and it would have to be really ideal and goodness knows we've done this before because the phrase or will they trade up lives rent free in my damn head.
I need a clarification on this question.
It would be David Bailey.
Is this just like I can move up and take a play or I actually have to give up stuff for him?
Do we have to think about what you're giving? I think we go with the you don't have to worry about giving. If money is no price. Yeah, if you want to hear the first segment of the show, that's where we were trying to make sense out of it. And you guys were just crushing my dreams. Because you made it sound like it was all or nothing.
And then it's like, well, they don't deserve a defense if they don't draft up for this guy. And I'm like, I really think there's a middle here.
I know. So my answer is... You had a safety on the defensive line in that scenario. If there's compensation involved, my answer is no one. What? Take your pick or trade down.
He's so conservative.

Chapter 4: What are the pros and cons of trading down in the draft?
Because once upon a time ago, kids, running backs were all over the top 10 in NFL drafts. Like that was right. It was that was what you go get the best running back running back. Sometimes you serve quarterbacks. It was a crazy, crazy world we live in. So there is a big part of me that wants to go full Emma here and trade up to get my guy from Notre Dame. You guys know my love for the Irish.
Jeremiah Love, the running back out of Notre Dame to be that difference-making running back. Even though DeAndre Swift is here for another year, they got him a nun guy. But I guess I will, for the sake of the segment, I'm going to go Jeremiah Love with a lot of thoughts about Reuben Bain Jr. as well. What about him? We forgot about who's your menung guy. This is fantasy talk, though.
It's a fluid situation. We say it all the time on the Take the North podcast. The draft, everything is a fluid situation. Guys do six mock drafts. If I want to change over an hour or two, then I damn will. Okay? I think this really has more to do with what you're distracted by right now versus what you're distracted by later. I got distracted by Jeremiah Love.
And the Beast has a lot of lights and colors and such. Is that what it is? Yeah.
Chapter 5: How do the Bears' draft strategies impact their team?
There's a lot of places for the eye to go. Wait till you guys hear my actual prediction at the end of the show, which has already changed since the beginning of the show. Can we call that Who's Your Menungai? Oh, Who's Your Menungai? Yeah, we're doing a Who's Our Guy at 1225.
There is, by the way, if I may do a quick shameless plug, there is a draft preview up on Take the North, yes, where we literally went through 20 questions you might have about the draft in general. Everything from position groups to literally Dan calculating what times he thinks the picks will be, including tonight. So if you want to check that out later on, of course.
Like he tells us what time the 25th pick will take place?
Yes, he does because it affects Dan's life heavily. So he goes through all of them. He chose this life. I know he did. And he chose to have that as one of our bullet points. So if you want a nice, digestible, full draft preview, I think it goes like an hour 20, Take the North is the way to go. Thank you, guys. I appreciate it.
Bye!
Number two. Here's another shameless plug. There's a Tecmo Bowl showdown going down. Kind of an alternate stream we're doing. Marshall Harris taking on Matt Spiegel on The Score Chicago on Twitch and YouTube. At what time, Marshall? Two? That's 2 p.m.
Best of three. We each get a game where we get that first choice at our teams, and then if it doesn't work out and we tie, if I somehow get upset, because it would be an upset if Max Spiegel beats me in either of those two games, then we go Pro Bowl. It's the NFC versus the AFC in game number three.
At the Score Chicago on Twitch and YouTube, 2 o'clock is the place to be.

Chapter 6: Who are the standout NFL draft prospects mentioned?
Tecmo Bowl showdown. Here's question number two. If there's no Bears draft pick today, what will be your reaction?
I'm okay with it. I'm still a little worried about Ryan Poles in the third round, to be honest. The body of work speaks for itself. Everybody had a good giggle last year when we all pointed out that, well, the Bears can't stress you out about the third round and wasting picks, Layla, if there's no third round pick for the Bears. Points to head, things safe.
But in this case, when you're at 25, you have a myriad of options, and it also indicates that you have a better team in front of you. So because of that, I would understand why trading down to get more assets potentially in later rounds, dare I say even the third, might benefit the team. So I'm okay with it.
And I think it would make sense if they didn't get their guy at that position on the board. We've seen them do this in practice before. They did it last year. So I give them the benefit of the doubt in trading down if it's for more assets in a draft.
Let me tell you something. If the 25th pick comes and the Bears trade back, I will be elated because that's what I've been asking, begging them to do is to get more, get more by going back a little bit and tapping into the depth of this class. I know some people don't believe maybe the game records are there at certain positions, but I think if this –
class of edges and defensive tackles is what we've been told then the bears can still address needs at that situation and other things maybe a cornerback maybe a safety maybe a linebacker and keep it moving i already think the left tackle is in the building so i'm not worried about that per se, I would be elated. Absolutely joyous.
Except for the fact that we come here tomorrow and be like, we got to talk about more picks now and no actual players on the roster.
Can I just also mention, you know, I get the athletic newsletter and it's full of stuff that actually you can't find in the athletic. And they did like a biggest needs for every team. So they position, et cetera, like what they need for the Miami Dolphins at number 11. It says literally anything. We'll just take a player. Edge, receiver, literally anything.
It wasn't that long ago. Yeah.

Chapter 7: What insights do the hosts share about scouting reports?
Munataka Morikami, Colson Montgomery, and Miguel Vargas are the first trio in MLB history with home runs in three straight games at the same time. What's your reaction to the historic hitting from this trio of Southside Sluggers? And now Marshall Harris. It's time.
It is time. We have a White Sox team on the verge of getting a second series win on this road trip. But more importantly, to see all three of these guys doing what they're doing. Mune is the headliner. Let's be very clear. But to see them in the part of the order, that is now a scary three-person run that you've got to get through as a pitcher.
Whether you're a starter or a reliever, the idea that all three of these guys at any moment can take you yard. And have been doing so. I was telling Grody earlier, people are like, ah, Colson Montgomery can't really keep up what he was doing last year with the 21 home runs and 70-something games. He had a 7.4% home run rate last year. You know what his home run rate is up to now?
7.1% in the same neighborhood. Mune is a guy that you just have to deal with. If you pitch around him now and you've got Miguel Vargas behind him and Colson Montgomery behind him, it's just a scary proposition. I love that Mune is that dude. I expect attendance this weekend at the rate. And I'm thinking about going, guys. Thinking about going to the rate.
You know, it takes a lot to get me off my couch. But I might get down to the rate.
It's a great time at the ballpark. It's going to be a good weekend for it.
If those guys are one of those guys homers today, I got to go see history possibly in the making. Because he's tied now, Mune, the record for most home runs in games straight. Most consecutive games with a home run. If he hits another one today, that's a streak that everybody needs to be monitoring. And I don't want to do that just for my couch.
Well, I love that it's like starting to – I mean, it's early, but sort of working out the way White Sox wanted it to by bringing up these prospects that were here and that are continuing to thrive. It's all White Sox want.
course you want to win of course you want to avoid a hundred but what you really want to know it's like with the bears you just want to know that caleb williams is your quarterback of the future white socks fans just want to know that they have a legitimate actual core that you could latch on to and that you could say okay i can handle the losing because i know we could add on to this and it would appear that there are makings of a real core for the white socks so that's why i'm happy

Chapter 8: How does the performance of college players influence NFL teams?
I mean, it was just, it was so, I said, I said when I saw that graph, I go, this is horrifying. Like, that's how it felt. It felt like it was horrifying. Like, when I watch that and you see how everybody else has done these two things and that the Bulls hadn't. 20 out of 10. It's just to know that you haven't. Now they've had all stars, but they didn't draft them.
And, you know, even for the record, even the Mavericks made a trade to get Luka Doncic before they stupidly traded him away. But they even made the trade initially to get him. You don't necessarily have to draft or at least like trade at draft. But in this case, it sadly just illustrated what has been going on with the team for this long when it came to results.
2010 is perfect because 20 out of 10 is also a vision. In hindsight for the Bulls and their fans, more importantly, isn't 2020. It's 2010 because that's better vision than 2020, as you know. And so looking at where the Bulls are today, sometimes you have an eye test that you can't quite... Explain when you're trying to explain to someone else. But this Venn diagram explains the Bulls perfectly.
And because of that, I'm giving this a perfect 10 out of 10, Mark Grody.
I mean, even the Chicago Cubs have won a World Series in the time that the Bulls have not won a single playoff series. Let's put it that way. 10. That is five on it on Rahimi, Harris, and Grody. And now I'm just scrolling to find that Venn diagram again because it was so upsetting. Doom scrolling you are. I am doom scrolling. It's just so upsetting. In real time. Get that on video, guys.
Post that one right there. Layla doom scrolling. Me doom scrolling? No, that's something all of us do. You know what? We're going to happy scroll instead. Okay. Because you've given us your guys. Well, what about our guy for the Bears pick at 25? Who's our menung guy? So to speak. Next. Okay, this is kind of stingy of us, but we get jealous on Rahimi Harrison-Grody.
We get to hear all of your guys, but then what about our guys? So was it Mark in our pre-show meeting, our backstage, who suggested we should do Who's Our Guy? It was Mark. Yes, it was. I will take the glory and the credit. Credit to Mark, who's our guy, Grody. We are now going to play Who's Our Guy. Does somebody have to say I'm on a certain phone line? Do I do it to myself?
I'll take care of it. Hey, Layla in Chicago, who's your guy? My guy. I think that, and this is not who I want to just hear about on The Beast. It's who I think the Bears are going to take. I defer to who used to be on our show regularly, Matt Miller, who is now with ESPN because he nailed the Colston Loveland pick last year in his first seven round mock draft.
And I go with his one to rule them all as I bang my elbow on the beast. And it hurts because the beast is big and heavy. Look, look, here it is. The beast. For everybody who's seen it. The sound of the beast. Listen, listen. That's the beast. So he said, Peter Woods, defensive tackle from Clemson. I don't know that he's going to be there at 25, but don't look at me like that. No, I'm interested.
