We were talking about this earlier, Adam. I want to get your thoughts. Number one, you can't count the Bears out. And so much so where you consider some of the setbacks that would have normally just absolutely wrecked all of us watching in previous seasons. Like I brought this up. We don't necessarily understand the left tackle situation for Sunday. But because this team has been so good in other places and so consistent, they've been able to pick up the slack for the issue that might be at hand.
Yeah, and I think that is, it's a concern, but it's also another area where they've, They have a next man up. I mean, I don't know how many teams I've covered over the years. Gordy, you know this. Next man up is just this cliche that honestly doesn't mean anything because they don't have the next man up. Well, this year, I mean, that's one of the beautiful things about this team and this season. They have seemingly always had... the next man up.
What strategies are vital for the Bears' success against the Rams?
And when they ran out of defensive backs, they went out and they got CJ Gardner Johnson on short notice and put them out there. And then he's become a big part of this season. So, you know, Theo Bennett, it's still young. His story is incredible coming from Canada where really you don't see guys come out of Canada and have success at this level. There's been very few examples of that. And he, he's played enough football this year that I think you can, you you know, you don't feel like it's going to be locked down at left tackle, but you feel, and you have trust in Dan Roshar and Ben Johnson to, to come up with solutions. Now, the one thing I am interested in over there is Ben Johnson. A lot of times this season is like to leave his tight ends isolated on, on defensive ends at times.
And Cole Comett, in particular, has handled that really, really well, both in the run and the pass game. A couple times last week, because if you look at the snap counts and it is warranted and earned, Colson Loveland is starting to eclipse Cole Komet in terms of actual snaps and how you would view as the number one tight end. And there were a couple times last week where they tried to leave Loveland out there on an island and with mixed results, not surprisingly, as good as he's proven to be as a blocker, that's asking a lot as a rookie. So I do wonder in this game where the edge rushers scare you more than they did last week with the Packers without Micah Parsons, how will they adjust with that
