What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
This hour on the score being brought to you by Cars for Kids. Clay Harbor, former NFL player. Clay Harbor, slot to the left.
Here's Mick's pass. And it's caught. Touchdown by Harbor. That's a touchdown. Clay Harbor makes that catch. And they've got Harbor for the touchdown.
Football analyst for Chicago Sports Network. Theo Bennett went to the starting lineup last year. They were 6-2. They averaged 682 yards per game. So them, when Theo Bennett went in, they really didn't lose a step. And that's because you've got a guy like Ben Johnson who knows his players intimately. He knows what they need help with, and he's not going to put them on an island against some edge rusher like Miles Garrett without help. Oh, my gosh. That's a scary thought. Play Harvard with Rahimi Harrison-Grody on 104.3 The Score. Welcome back into the show. Rahimi Harris and Grody along with Marshall Harris. I'm Mark Grody. Layla Rahimi will be on the Sky Call tonight with Zach Zaidman and Alyssa Bergamini doing the pregame like she does.
Looking forward to listening to that broadcast. We will be back at full strength tomorrow, Rahimi Harris and Grody will, when we are at Gallagher Way ahead of Cubs, Yankees, and all this great trade deadline talk. But let us turn our attention now Two Bears, where they practiced a little bit longer today. After a shorty yesterday, they went about 15 minutes longer today, according to reports. But I would say probably not enough. Probably not long enough for two-a-day Clay. Because Clay Harbor, when you were playing football, man.
Back in my day.
It was two-a-day. I've heard you talking about that. This stuff out here, this doesn't fly, does it? No, this is easy. These guys don't understand the old days back when Marshall Harris was with NBC Philadelphia covering the team out there. It was hard. It was difficult. It was tough. We had two days. Andy Reid had us tackling to the ground two practices a day. Seriously? That's amazing. Did Marshall ever challenge you in the locker room the way he does these days? Or was he nice and easy because you were just Clay Harbor, the football player? Marshall challenged me, but Marshall was busy doing a lot of other things during the time away from football. He was out at the Jersey Shore. Stop, stop, stop. The way you just tried to bring up the Jersey Shore.
See how he tries to deflect and make it all about me? It was all about Clay. I saw Clay at the Jersey Shore doing his thing. I was like, that's a future reality television star right there. See how that works? See how that works, Clay? Okay. Okay. So you're trying to bring it back on me.
Yeah.
No, that's where I met Marshall Harris. I've known Marshall Harris since like 2010, Grody. Okay. Yeah, no, I know. He considers himself your mentor. I mean, he was talking about that earlier today. What I'm saying is you should go ahead and... Keep track of all your things, Clay, from now on. That's all I want you to do, okay? You got the message, right, Clay? Okay. Okay, I got you. I got you. We're still riding out Saturday, right? Because you got the head start with your training camp experience. I'm going to get out there with you on Saturday. We're going to have a good time.
What are the first impressions and setup from Bears training camp live at Halas Hall?
But tell me what's your biggest single takeaway from day one and day two. Well, today, obviously, was a different sort of day. Yesterday, obviously, was the first day of practice. You're just kind of ramping up. You don't want to get anybody hurt. Let's just get a feel for everything that's going on. So it was a quick practice. One period of seven on seven. Maybe one period of team. Grody was out there taking his notes. He's always locked in. You know it. Today was different. It was more competitive. It was hotter. It was... More back and forth. The offense had an amazing day today. It looked like to me the offense is way ahead of where the defense is. Rome looked good for the second day in a row. Luther Burden looked like he is in midseason form.
He is he's. beating up on some of these defensive backs. Colson Loveland had a really good day. And then also Kalief Raymond probably was the player of the day and had the play of the day in a 50-yard bomb.
