Chapter 1: What insights does Emory Hunt share about the NFL Combine?
This hour is brought to you by the Chicago Golf Show.
Chicago on paper looks tremendous. So I do feel like they'll win that division. The Chicago Bears, I feel like. Green Bay to me went from my third pick to now second in that division and perhaps making the playoffs. All of that being said, Detroit will have a winning season. I love that for them. I love the running game. Obviously, I'm a big Jameer Gibbs guy.
He was my number one running back in the class.
Chapter 2: Which Bears prospects should fans watch at the NFL Combine?
However... the division got tougher. So I see Detroit having to win the season, I just don't see them making the playoffs.
Wow, that prediction was made on August 31st of 2025. Take your flowers, Emery Hunt. That is good stuff. He's the analyst for CBS Sports HQ. He was at the HBCU Legacy Bowl this weekend. He is the owner of Football Game Plan. And we will give you your flowers, Emery, joining us not only on our hotline, but also on Twitch, twitch.tv slash thescorechicago.
Chapter 3: What are the Bears' chances of winning their division this season?
Thanks for coming on, Emery.
And I love the music drop behind that etherous analysis I gave. That was body-to-body. You know why that hits home? Because I'm from New Orleans, so everything about that clip was perfect.
Listen, our producers, they pay attention to what's going on. That's Ray Diaz and Tyler Buderbaugh getting it done. Come on now, Emory. You've been on with us before. You know how we roll.
I knew it. I shouldn't have expected less, man. You guys are awesome.
Unfortunately, we're a little too familiar with the tank in Chicago right now, and not the No Limit one, but we're trying to figure out if the Bulls are going to tank or not. Check you out. We're true soldiers. Let me just read some of these comments here from this YouTube link. Because here's what was getting told to Emery at the time. Five months ago, Bears to win the division is comedy gold.

Chapter 4: How does Emory Hunt evaluate the Bears' recent draft picks?
David Jones, 14 to 85, said, no way does Chicago win the division. No way. And then Iceman, ironic, 1272 says... They all think Ben Johnson is God. And then Dominic Castro, 6483, says, I don't even think God himself could make that happen. And then they all just start replying, crying, laughing emojis to each other.
Not that I'm pointing this out for people to find and then troll on them or anything, but that's some pretty confident talk in the comments, Emery.
You know what's fascinating about that is the fact that, you know, when you look at this thing holistically, and I'm not a fan of any team, I'm just a fan of being right.
So when I'm looking at these rosters and basing it off how I graded guys, how they draft and all that stuff like that, I'm like, yay, the Bears actually have a pretty good team on paper based on how they drafted and what this depth chart looks like. And folks always cling to, oh, you must be a Bears fan, like, Bro, I just like the analysis of, you know, I like players.
And so when these guys are doing well, I'm like, okay, yeah, I kind of had him rated this way. That's how I see it as an analyst. I was a dummy thinking that's how all analysts work. You know what I'm saying? So at the end of the day, when those folks were saying that, they should know by now. I'm going to just sit back and wait.
And as soon as the Lions clinched that playoff exit, boom, retweet, let's go.
You know what I'm saying? Yeah.

Chapter 5: What challenges do the Bears face in their stadium discussions?
For you, man. I love that for you, Emory. And listen, I love that you love tape because there's truth in tape. Now, you can say what you see through different lenses might vary from person to person, but I believe in you, Emory, as you know. I'm very curious. The Bears, in very unfamiliar waters we were just talking about, they're picking...
lower than they have in any first round of a draft since 2011 this year. Is there going to be something at 25 that can help them immediately? And is that more likely to happen at edge or left tackle if so?
Glad you asked that question because I've been compiling a list of things in life that were a mistake. Number one, speakerphone. Speakerphone, number one. And number two might be airports. But third and fighting hard for third might be mock drafts. Because what mock drafts do is kind of get everybody in a sense of... thinking these are only good players in existence.
And so if we can't get the same 10 players we've talked about since January, then everybody else is not good. Well, you're talking to someone that grades over 1,000 prospects each draft class in the draft guide, which people can go get footballgameplan.com slash 2026draftguide, pre-order it. So I always see the depth of the class no matter what year it is.
So, yes, you will be able to get somebody to help the Bears at that position, insert position here at pick number 20, whatever, because there's a litany of talented players that we haven't even begun to discuss yet because everybody's focused on it.

Chapter 6: How are the Bears navigating their options for a new stadium?
There's people right now, big-name people, still talking about Fernando Mendoza. Like, bro, we get it. Like, move on. So I am always looking at the depth. There are so many good players in this class. D-line, linebackers, edge, whatever the Bears feel they need, they will find someone there and in subsequent rounds too.
I'm sorry I don't have this in front of me, and I'm sorry to ask this question, too. Have you done a mock draft yet? And who do you have going to the Bears at 25 if you have?
I don't do a mock draft, and I haven't done one yet. I only do two a year on CBS.com. One is a small school only mock draft where the first round is only people from small schools. And again, small schools are... Schools that are FCS, D2, D3, because what they now try to do nowadays, that may add to my list of things that were a mistake. They're adding now, oh, this guy goes to a small school.
Oh, yeah, what school? You think it's Illinois State. You think it's something Illinois. Oh, no, he went to Iowa State. Let me get out of my face, man.
Chapter 7: What is the significance of the HBCU Legacy Bowl for NFL prospects?
If it ain't the top 10 teams they think is a small school. So I do a small school mock and I do a what would I do mock draft. So that one always gets a lot of buzz because people call me crazy all the time for what I would do. But I thought that's what you got into this business for, for your opinion. Like, why would I want to parrot everybody else?
And why would I want to do, try to think like what the teams are thinking? Like, no, just do what you believe they should do and let that be your mock. So all of the two.
So to reset, it's speakerphone. Anne-Marie Hunt's mistakes are speakerphone...
Airports.
Airports and the mock draft. I'm sorry. I forgot that it was airports because why airports?
I have to know. They're kind of one in the same because when you think about speaker phones and you think about people that just there's no rules in airports. So I just flew back from the Legacy Bowl, like you mentioned. It was 10 a.m. in the morning. In New Orleans Airport, there were three young ladies sitting there eating a big plate of nachos.

Chapter 8: What are the implications of the Bears' potential move to Indiana?
Like, how do you even have the taste for that at 10 in the morning? Like, there's no rules. And then you have people. As soon as I see somebody walking around like this, I lose it. Because speakerphone, I don't want to have, I don't want to be a part of your conversation. Nobody does. So does this not work anymore? That's why I said speakerphone was a mistake. That's number one with a bullet.
No one's stopping that one.
That's fair.
That's fair. The speakerphone is very fair.
Drinking at all hours happens in airports, too, I feel like.
It's 5 o'clock somewhere, though, Emory. But listen, I got on one flight coming from New Orleans. This was a 6 a.m. flight going back to New York City. And I stayed out the whole night trying to sleep on a plane. I get in there. It was a 6 a.m. flight, so we boarded at 5.30. So I'm laying on the window seat. Dude's sitting next to me.
And within like 10 seconds, cracks open a platter of fried catfish. I'm like, bro, where do you even get that from? And how you have a taste for it, it's still, they don't even have the shade. Like, the light's not even on. Like, so it's crazy how people just lose all human interaction ability and human decency in the airport.
Amazing.
Tartar sauce all over the place.
