Yeah, yeah. Dennis Allen, the Bears defensive coordinator, was speaking early today. The Bears hit the practice field at 845 this morning on a bright, clear, warm day out here in Lake Forest and at... Bears headquarters. And it's kind of interesting. Part of the reason, too, that we had to push this particular Bears update was because it was a it was a short practice, really short practice. The Bears are clearly in a ramp up period. Again, they started at 845. They wrapped up at 10 o'clock. So the old days, these are not a relatively easy going practice. hour and 15-minute practice out here today. And no massive highlights to the day, but I can tell you that there were also no big surprises out here in terms of a lot of the position competitions that we've been talking about throughout the offseason.

as in you did have Garrett Bradbury playing with the first line. He was the center for Caleb Williams, and there was apparently at one point in time a communication issue between Caleb Williams and Garrett Bradbury. That's something that Caleb shared with us, and the indication was that that it was on Bradbury, that it's an issue that he has had in the past with quarterbacks, didn't get the specifics on it. But we know that no matter who ends up being the center, it's going to be a new center for Caleb Williams. So there are going to be little glitches in the system, and apparently there was one. that they were able to smooth out. Braxton Jones was the only guy that I saw on the first line with Caleb Williams playing the left tackle position.

Again, from what I saw, Theo Benedet, who keeps getting mentioned as part of the left tackle competition, was playing right tackle, mostly with the second team. and that doesn't mean that he is out of the competition for the left tackle spot, but that's what I saw during the offseason program this year, and I saw more of that today. Just a couple other things, too. No funny stuff with Dylan Thienemann. He was the starting safety along with Kobe Bryant. There were times... During the OTAs, where we would see Dylan Thienemann playing with the second stringers, then he would pop in with the firsts. So all indications are that while nobody is going to say that he just has the job and the job is his job,

the appearance that they're giving is that the job is his, which makes total and complete sense as well. And we'll talk about the nickel position here in a second as well. But I have for you guys some Caleb Williams because he spoke just a little while ago. And we have talked exhaustively about the goal of completion percentage at the very least going up from 58%. And of course, Ben Johnson throws out the 70% idea yesterday. And the question to Caleb Williams was, how do you get to that number without compromising the big plays and the big game hunting that we know you are prone to?
