Thank you. I appreciate that. We'll figure this out. It seems like the Cubs have really figured things out since that disastrous 7-22 stretch. When you look at the whole picture of the National League and the Cubs and their standing in it, Are you surprised at how we got here, or are you just more like this is probably where they should be? It's a combination of both. I mean, I did not expect them to go 7-22 in a 29-game stretch, but I also didn't expect them to go 27-12 in two specific 39-game stretches. So definitely up and down, but when you get to this point of the season and you're buyers at the trade deadline, that's normally a good sign. I don't care how they got here. I'm glad that they're here.

That was a terrific series in St. Louis. Take three out of four, and you could argue that they could have, should have swept. What stood out to you in that four-game red bush?

Winning on the road, winning in St. Louis against a team where you play two series against them before, and you've lost both series. So you go in there coming off of a series win against Pittsburgh. You go to St. Louis. It's really tough to win on the road, and it's tough to do that in division. They've won seven consecutive road series and back-to-back against Pittsburgh and St. Louis. Again, I don't care how they got there. They got there. They're 5-2 during the road trip. Come back here with two big series.

Well, and I think what I really found satisfying about this, and we talked about this a lot on our show, Alex, is the fact that they did not have a good record against St. Louis. We all remember the weekend series in St. Louis in May that really, I think, hammered the point home of the slump that the team was going through at the time. Then you have... What was at the time prior to that series, you know, four and three, three and four record against the Pirates, you know, fair to meddling, not what you want to see, even though I know the Pirates are better. So for them to take the series against the Pirates and then almost sweep, I mean, pretty emphatically take care in St. Louis going three out of four.

It's Nico Horner starting to hit. It's Alex Bregman with a huge series. It is those two guys who, if you looked at the beginning of the season, they were considered two integral parts of this team if they're going to succeed, if they're going to fail. And to this point of the season, I would say, and you can ask both of these players, it's been underwhelming seasons for Nico Horner and Alex Bregman from an offensive standpoint, and for those two to come up huge in that series against St. Louis. Nico, especially since after the All-Star break, getting those guys hot at the right time brings this lineup to a new level. Hitting .400 since the All-Star break, Nico Horner above .400, excuse me, and Alex Bregman.
