I was uh in the crowd watching the hit parade on Friday when you guys beat up on the Pirates twelve to two. Then you follow that up with winning the series on Saturday. And to take one from a Braves team that you know is a very good ball club, and then work w through their starting pitchers and Reynaldo Lopez into the reliever, A.J. Smith Schauver. I think that says a lot about Just the uh the hitting approach of the team right now and the success of just getting that first game out of the way with a W too.
Yeah, I think we put together really good at bats yesterday. Um, obviously, you know, put five runs on the board early and gave um Peterson some some room to work and and he did a great job. Um so it was yeah, it was a good all around team win yesterday.
You, sir, I would say, had some really nice at bats last night and came up empty on a couple of them. I would say you were robbed on a couple of them. In the third inning, Ozzie Albies makes a great play on what could have been a potential RBI. And then in the fifth inning, a rocket to center field and Michael Harris Jr. goes up against the wall. Just one of those days. How do you account for those sort of frustrating days where you where you're swinging the bat? bat well but nothing to show for at least on on those two particular at bats.
Yeah, I mean you just that's baseball, right? There's you know, outside of the catcher, there's eight guys out there trying to make a play on you and it's just that's that's why it's so tough. I've had really good at bats lately. A couple warning track flyouts against Pittsburgh, um, really good swing against Weaver that um Lau made a great jump in play at second base and it's just that's what's been happening, but Keep having good at bats and making those swings, you know, it it's gonna work out. And so I feel really good about kind of the quality of the at bat and plate discipline and the whole thing.
Yeah, and you had that double against Reynaldo Lopez on his slider that just didn't slide. Took advantage of a good mistake there. What did you see on that one?
Uh yeah, he you know, his slider he does a really good job of getting it below the zone, uh, to both sides.
