And Kylan, after the series that the Giants and Cubs just had, where we saw the Giants absolutely whoop up on the Cubs in the first game by a final of 18-3, it stands to reason that this is going to be a competitive series yet again for these two teams.

How have the Giants' recent performances affected their standings?
I mean, after that game one, the last series was very competitive in games two and three. Unfortunately, I had to witness PCA just absolutely destroy my hopes and dreams because, as you know, Layla, there is nothing worse on a postgame show than when you are anticipating a win, when your team is leading the entire game, and then something happens in the last inning or the last two innings to make it all fall apart. So thanks a lot, PCA. for making my life difficult because the whole show just gets blown up at that point and suddenly you're talking about the Giants bullpen blowing a lead, which has been a storyline that we have talked about a lot on our shows throughout the course of the season.
But I'm excited to see what happens. I mean, this is a pivotal series. This is a Giants team that's actually... Yes, you can look at the record, but they have been gaining some momentum in the last couple weeks. And actually, when you look at the offense in the last month, they're among the best in baseball in terms of home runs and runs per game. They're averaging more than five and a half runs per game since May 10th.
What concerns exist about the Giants' bullpen?
So while they started the year extremely cold offensively, we're starting to see some of the bats come alive. We kind of know what we have in terms of the starting pitching rotation. It's the bullpen that's been the big issue for the Giants. So that's where I have concern going up against this Cubs team, like what we saw in Game 2 last weekend. If they're able to get clutch hits down the stretch, this is a Giants team that does not have a closer. And there are still a lot of lingering questions. None of the bullpen individuals in the bullpen have defined roles, which has been a big challenge. So you don't really know who's coming in in the 7th and the 8th. who you go to in middle relief. Like it's just been a huge issue for this ball club.
How has the fan base reacted to the Giants' current season?
So that's why I think that the Cubs could win any game if you keep it close because the way the bullpen has struggled. But on the flip side, if the Giants bats get going and whoever you guys have and you're decimated by injury starting rotation, if the Giants can put some runs on the board early, I'd like our chances. But I think it'll be super competitive. I'm excited.
Okay, you think it'll be super competitive. I get why you're saying that specifically, because you play in the National League West, where the Giants are 8-14, and it's a problem every time you go out there when you have the Diamondbacks, the Dodgers, and the Padres in your division. I am impressed the fact that you guys were able to split a four-game series with the Brewers before taking two of three from the Cubs, and then showing a little bit of fight against a Nats team that's, I think, better than most people thought they would be this year. My question for you, Kylan, is this. Have things settled down since the hiring of your manager? Because I know that's been a big talking point about everybody, about the Giants trying to get things back going in the right direction.
