I feel wonderful. That was a really good conversation with Nick Friedel. Him talking about his grandma and having those thoughts. I have those thoughts a lot, you know, when it comes to sports. Those great Cubs teams. I'll never forget the morning after they won the World Series. One of the first things I did was get a bunch of merch and take it to my grandmother's house up in Uptown. She was so happy. I don't think I've ever seen her happier.

And you begin by saying this, you're not the only one. We had a lot of texters, and I think listeners agree with you, that Khalil Mack may have been the name to help solve the Bears' pass rush issues. What was your thought about it, and why did you keep coming back to that idea?

Well... He's flirted with the Bears the last couple off seasons, the idea of coming back. And I really thought about both of the trades that the Bears made to get... to get Clomac and to send him away. And I just keep coming back to the Bears making one last move. Every offseason, they make one last move that raises your eyebrow. Sometimes it's the Clomac trade. Sometimes it's a free agent signing of Yannick Ngakwe. Sometimes it's calling Jason Peters while he's fishing and saying, hey, man, we need you to play left tackle. So I've been trying to think of what that last move could be. And a name that keeps popping up in my mind is Jadavian Clowney. That's a guy who the Bears have been kind of linked to in previous years.

I'm not sure they've been linked to him this year, but he's a guy who just makes perfect sense at a position that the Bears, frankly, didn't address properly this offseason.

I have to ask you, Luis, going back to last season and then to this season, we all saw plenty of surprises on the way to a playoff berth and a playoff win. What is it that you think stands out that could be the biggest surprise this time around for Ben Johnson and his group in year two?

Biggest surprise. I wanted to say the running backs, but that tandem really took off last year. I really think the biggest surprise could be on the defensive, in the defensive front seven. I think we all know that the secondary is pretty strong, if they're healthy. Jalen and Dieneman and Bryant. But that Bears defensive front seven looks like... could be better. I'm worried, but I look at the speed they added in Devin Bush. DeMarco Jackson played really well. They added some depth with Jack Sanborn. They've got a nice day three pick in Keyshawn Elliott, who was a linebacker out of Arizona State, who was a top 100 prospect on a lot of draft boards. So the Bears getting him on day three was nice.
