Chapter 1: What were the highlights of the Bears' 2025 season?
This hour is sponsored by AlmostFreeTeeth.com. Affordable implants, life-changing smiles.
The views and opinions of Layla Rahimi, Marshall Harris, and Mark Grody should not be taken too seriously. Especially when they give advice. Do not take Marshall's analogies literally. Especially when it comes to Russell Dorsey. The sports thoughts of Rahimi, Harris, and Grody may change at any time. It's just sports. Okay, thanks, bye!
Rahimi, Harris, and Grody. 10 to 2 on 670 The Show. We talked to Jared Payton here, Rahimi Harrison-Cloney.
It's an on-the-spot question, but I'm going to ask you this question pertaining to the Bears, all right? If you could keep one of the safeties, which one of those two safeties would you keep on the Chicago Bears team? Before you roll, you must either choose to nominate yourself... Or you must nominate one other player to be at risk of elimination.
Dude, why? Grody, what are you doing, man?
This is what Grody does.
Provocateur.
I'm a provocateur.
I'm sorry.

Chapter 2: How did Caleb Williams' performance impact the Bears' success?
And what I do, you know exactly what time it is. The bear hug I'm going to give you is going to, you aren't going to be able to move. You might not be able to breathe. Brother? I'm Paul. You must be Tommy. Brothers don't shake hands. Brothers gotta hug.
Laila Rahimi, Marshall Harris, Mark Grody. Middays 10 a.m. to 2 on Chicago Sports Radio 670 The Score. Brothers don't shake hands. Brothers gotta hug. I say that all the time. Tyler Buterbaugh with a beaut of an open yet again. The Grody pointed nod.
Now that I listen to that, was that really that provocateur-ing? You ambushed that man on his way out the door. It was late in the game, wasn't it? Like, he's just like, he's being happy.
Don't look at me. You're provocateur-ing yourself by even asking the question right now.
Just being all, Jared, being nice and informative and telling us, and you're right, and then I hit him up pretty hard. But honestly, the real truth to this, though, is he answered the question very well, very thought out, and we ultimately agreed. Brisker by an eyelash. I did not agree. No, that's okay. That's okay.
Yeah, yeah. Here's the thing. That question is going to prevail until decisions are made on the both of them. No doubt. On Jaquan Brisker and on Kevin Byard. Or, or... Until another team makes a decision on one of them. And that's something that you have to consider as well.
As we've talked about, safety is one of those positions where traditionally you do have many free agents who will hit the market. But those two do have value. And that is, I think, as we like to say, that is a story we will continue to track.
Fluid, a fluid situation.

Chapter 3: What was the biggest surprise on the Bears' offense this season?
This is Rahimi Harrison-Grody. On this Friday, we are happy to come to you from our Hyundai Score Studios, brought to you by your local Hyundai dealers. And with the Bears season wrapping up, and since we have the host of the Take the North podcast with us today.
That's right, TTN.
Who's the new sponsor, by the way, of the breaking news we have here.
Which I appreciate.
Says us.
Yes.
Yeah. I mean, that can change. That can change.
Ooh, we don't want to see that change.
Pay your bills, Mark. We can be bought. Yeah, we can be bought. But right now the sponsor is TTN.

Chapter 4: Which game changed opinions about the Bears this season?
I think we have more than five questions here is the problem. Number one. Mark, you want to announce?
Number one. Yeah.
Perfect. Echo effects and everything. What game was the Caleb Williams is good or Caleb Williams is showing significant progress game for you and why? Like basically the jump. Ooh, we got music even better, guys.
I like music. Number two.
No echo on two.
Number two. Two, two.
I love it. What game had the biggest offensive surprise for you? Or what was the biggest offensive surprise that you saw?
This one will be in disguised voice, 60-minute style. Number three. Number three.
That sounded very Silence of the Lambs-y.

Chapter 5: What game showcased Ben Johnson's coaching strategies?
Did I mess it up?
Number three is what's the biggest defensive surprise? Are you ready for number four? Number four.
Wait, number four.
Please stop doing the creepy voice.
I don't know, Brody. I don't know if that's the one, Brody.
Sometimes I creep myself out, believe it or not.
I don't know if that's attracting more listeners.
Only sometimes. Don't you hurt my dog.
Oh, precious.

Chapter 6: How did the Bears' defense perform in unexpected situations?
You just never know what's going to happen. I've always appreciated your fluidity. Fluidity, yes.
Nothing says football talk like a serial killer movie. It's just, yeah, I don't make the rules. She's a big girl, sir. Freeze!
Like when they're in the basement with the night goggles on?
Freeze! If you ever took our opinion seriously, I hope that all of this has changed your mind. So number one is, what game was the Caleb Williams is good slash showing progress game for you and why? Marshall Harris is on the ready. He's looking at me with a face.
Whoa!
So, because of that, I defer to him. I've talked enough so far today.
My opinion of Caleb Williams was already strong before the season started, but let me tell you what made me say, okay, I see this is going in the right direction. How about... Caleb Williams versus his old nemesis slash head coach. I'm going to the Dallas Cowboys 31-14 win over Matt Eberfuss in which he threw for 298 yards, four touchdowns, no picks.
And give me that 142.6 passer rating and a QBR of 88.3. That's when I was like, oh yeah, Ben Johnson and them, they about to do things.
You know, that was a flashpoint of a game for many reasons. Number one was the fact that they were 0-2 after that game against the Lions. So then the Cowboys were still more respected at that time. And I don't think that anybody thought they would finish the season out of the playoffs at that time.

Chapter 7: What memorable special teams moments stood out this season?
What was it for you?
Just for the heck of it, Tremaine Edmonds had two interceptions in that game. Hell yeah! I know we're not talking defense right now, but just for the hell of it!
Now, give Tremaine the credit for that.
Yeah, that was good. No, that's a great one, and I did consider it, but just to change it up a little bit, I am going to go with a certain Week 9 game, a 47-42 win. over Cincinnati, where first of all, you start to see that the Bears have the quarterback who can keep up in a shootout.
We saw that later in the year, even more impressively, I guess, against San Francisco, even though you lose that game. But Caleb had 280 yards in that game, three touchdowns as well, including, and this is really why I did it,
including what was a bold 58-yard play, catch and run for Colston Loveland with Caleb zipping it down the middle with all that strength and accuracy with 17 seconds left on the clock. That was pretty impressive to me. And that's where you start to see, oh, okay, he can keep up. Oh, and then he's starting to, or I should say, continuing to do pretty incredible things in the fourth quarter.
So I will go, Caleb, for week nine in the win over Cincinnati.
I have a 101-page Google Doc, so that's hell on earth trying to find any sort of random one thought. But I do remember thinking to myself when I saw that throw.
Yes.

Chapter 8: How did the Bears' season compare to previous years?
Loveland takes off from there. Because that's really, that's the... I just said that that's a significant Caleb moment, but simultaneously, that is the first time of the year where we all opened our eyes and said, okay, I see you, Colston Loveland. And then Tyler Warren's stuff starts to wear off and then completely gone by the end of the season. That is the Tyler Warren stuff.
What do you think, Marshall? Was there a play specifically for you that sticks out of like, I would like to see him do this more, and then it happened?
Well, because I'm selfish. Luther Burden, flea flicker. Can we get some more flea flickers? Can we get like four flea flickers a year out of Caleb Williams?
What about the beginning part, though, where the ball was like in slow motion? Grody will help me out with this. We're like back from DeAndre's switch. It was like, no. Okay, okay, it's good.
We threw it. Yes.
It's like a bad three-pointer, right? No, yes.
And at some point you're like, thinking it's a movie, you may be wondering how I got here.
Yeah, no, I think specifically with Caleb Williams, there's many points you can point to where you could say, you know, this is when I believed and everything else. But I think that the bigger point is, knowing that there are expectations, but understanding it's a reset year of sorts for him and to come through the way he did and to show the progress.
That's really what it is because you can have flashes of moments like that Cowboys. If you look at the first six games, let's say of the season, the Cowboys moment is obviously the biggest and best for him because he didn't look great in some of the games following that. But then to see the end of the season where it ends up, you're like, all right, we're good. We are Gucci.
