Love it. And I think this is a big deal because this is the first national TV game for the White Sox this season to have it on Apple TV. What's been your opinion of watching their success?

Tricia Whitaker 1:23

It's been incredible. It's been so remarkable. You know, I grew up, as you know, like about three and a half hours away from Chicago. And I will say I grew up a Cubs fan, but I wasn't one of those Cubs fans that like hated the White Sox or whatever.

And I have always been of the opinion that baseball is better when both the Cubs and the White Sox are good. And seeing the White Sox the last couple of years before this season just have abysmal years was really it was it was tough to watch. And the turnaround for them has been unbelievable. I love the youth movement. I love the energy these guys bring. I love all of their stories. I love what they have done. And I think what the White Sox have done this season so far is the best story in baseball. I cannot think of another one with another team that's a better story and a more remarkable, impressive turnaround than the White Sox.

I love that you get to chronicle in a way the next chapter of the best story in baseball with the White Sox playing the Blue Jays. Trisha, I'm just so curious, from your perspective, getting to pop in and pop out as you go city to city, team to team, what is your favorite thing about being able to do that, especially in the back half of the season where that schedule becomes, okay, these games carry a little bit more weight because you've reset in sort of a way?

Tricia Whitaker 2:48

Yeah, I mean, I love going to different cities all over the country. Every Friday, it's a different game. And I love getting to know all of the teams. So I was with the Tampa Bay Rays for six years as their sideline reporter, and I absolutely loved it. I love that franchise. I love my experience there. But getting to be a national reporter and going to different cities and meeting with different teams has been amazing. One of my favorite parts is seeing the fan bases. And how much the city and the fan base connects with the team or when they don't connect with the team, which when we had the White Sox on Apple the last couple of years, that's how it felt. The fan base was very upset because they were so bad.

And so it's also cool to see the turnaround in the fan base. So that's probably my favorite part, getting to work with every single manager in the league, every star player. It's been awesome.

Well, Trisha, I actually wanted to ask you, knowing you have that Rays experience and being with them for six years, you know, they've become a template for a lot of teams and organizations when it comes to talent evaluation and acquisition. Do you see any parallels with the White Sox success this season and what you saw out of the Rays?

Tricia Whitaker 3:51

You know, that's a really good question. I don't think I've thought about that. I don't think there's a parallel in terms of, like, last season to this season with the Rays, because the Rays were never as bad as the White Sox were last season.
