We talk about Game of Thrones. I mean, we could go episode by episode if y'all really wanted us to do that. Or we also do, we talk about House of the Dragon and Knight of Seven Kingdoms. So we are back with the last two episodes of season two and six episodes of seasons three. That's actually a pretty good, that's actually a pretty good summit. That's actually a pretty good way. We basically did get at least episode nine of season two and then maybe like, so maybe two thirds of season two thirds of episode 10.
If I'd go there, but I think next episode will be episode 10. So let's start off with just we're coming in late when we recorded this. So I've listened to our good friend Chloe with her along with her wonderful co-host on Girls Gone Canon that our friend Chloe, she just said in her intro to this episode, we're talking about season two, episode nine of House of the Dragon. And I think it's both a wonderful episode. It's a great episode one, but it is the most like unforgiving of episode ones. Yes. Well, someone pointed out the, so the running gag of, of Game of Thrones up until season seven is, was they kill a monarch every season. Now what we're doing is we're killing an heir to the throne on episode one.
An heir for the day. What was it? Prince... I can't remember Aegon's son. I think it was... Prince... Yeah, Prince Jaehaerys. Prince Jaehaerys got killed. And then now Prince Jiserys got killed. Jiserys, yeah.

Oh, gosh, that's a great one. I know. I'm like, that's funny. That's darkly hilarious. That's a magnificent accident. But, yeah, an heir to the throne dies in the first episode of every season. I mean, okay, so just overall thoughts. Let's just dive in with that first before we dive into that. A very solid episode. A very, very solid episode. And it did deliver, it did deliver, I think, what we had hoped for. I mean, it's automatically, and I'm just curious to see where we go from here. Mm-hmm. Just because it, as much as we joke about episode nine, about this really being episode nine, I can also see how this is I mean, gosh, serialization. Serialization is what it is. But this just automatically delivered on what everyone, including you, I think.
Slight dig at you, my co-host and best of friends. But just how much everyone was wanting action. Yes. Of just immediately and boom, we get a giant ass battle. And also, again, the creative difference. The creative choices they make.
Mm-hmm.
I both, this will be interesting as we go through this whole season, but just not that that Reddit is the truth and granted it's Reddit. Well, I'd like to bring that up a little bit quickly. There, there were some predictions on Reddit that I had seen and I'm glad that actually most of them turned out to be wrong, which was wonderful. So we'll see, we'll see how that goes. So overall, I quite liked it. It was just like, it's great to be back in Westeros. I do mean like from an objective critic standpoint, I will say that like this is like one of the, it's the perfect inverse to A Night of the Seven Kingdoms. Just how much it's like, let's get you focused in the mood. Let's get you wanting to know these characters and like these characters.
And the stakes are medium. We're just, granted it's season three of this show. That's just like, we're not even doing any kind of hint or build up. Like this was supposed to be episode nine. We're just hitting ground running. I think that kind of went, it's like, okay, guys, we know we owe you. This is us sort of delivering and apologizing. I don't even think apologizing, but just like, guys, like we agree. Like we got cut off. We thought we had 10 episodes. Mm hmm. It's like it's just going to be interesting once we get to episode three that they're going to be like, OK, now here's what we were going to do with season three. But OK, and maybe we all right, let's get into then.
