Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to our live feed update for July 24th. I'm your host, Darren Armstrong, and I'm here to update you on everything that happened yesterday on the Big Brother 28 live feeds. It was day 17 in the house, and we had an eviction. We have a new HOH. We have new-ish plans for the nominations. And plenty to get to here today with me to talk about it all is Booyah. How you doing, Booyah?
I'm doing good, Taryn. Last week, we were treated to an all-timer. People were saying one of the best Thursday nights we've had in many seasons. Last night felt a little more reminiscent of the regular, of a normal, of a standard week, but we'll talk about it.
Yes, things a little more chill here. I did just get off the phone with Rome in our exit interview, so you can stay tuned for that after this update is finished. But in the meantime, let's get to it. Of course, Heading into the eviction, Rome melody, Jason on the block. Rome was going to be evicted in any scenario that he didn't win the blockbuster. We saw that play out on the episode. The melody Jason vote never came through. It was always going to be melody saved over Jason. Um, However, Taylor was still doing some work to try to get that vote happening. Ultimately, we saw that she casts a rogue vote for Rome to stay over Melody, which was quite interesting. But we can talk about that a little bit later.
Really, there wasn't much that went down prior to this vote. It kind of locked in that it was Melody. Mallory and Lyric talked, and Lyric backed down from the Melody-Jason vote as well. So it was going to probably be... close to unanimous. There was a plan in place to pull Taylor and Lala and make sure that they knew the votes weren't there because they had been trying to say that Dee and Angela would vote with them. But again, all of this is kind of moot because none of it happened.
Yeah, I mean, there's not much to say when the consensus person that's going to leave, no matter who he's sitting next to, ends up not winning the blockbuster that we end up here. I guess the one thing I can be happy about is that it wasn't a full unanimous just so that there could be some intrigue with people doing a hinky vote hunt. But beyond that, not much else to report here.
Yes. So we get to the eviction. And of course, Rome was evicted, joining Ashley and Rachel in the eviction. Devastating. Whose idea was this?
Who came up with the idea to give Ashley company and Rome there also? Why is Rachel there? she was on the season she was canonically on the season um we could have had a better photo of rachel i feel like that wouldn't have made the memory wall but well the the whole point is that when you're evicted you are you know the photo of you is now eviction version of you and you know i guess that is the last photo of rachel we saw yeah had some of her skin
them off so anyway feeds come back actually from post eviction before the the HOH competition and and we get a little bit of intrigue here because of that vote that rogue vote from Taylor lyric is denying her vote she not denying her vote sorry denying the vote that she did not actually cast it is true denial, saying that she did vote Rome out. And for the most part, there's an assumption that it was probably her to people who haven't really fully heard the denial. But to those that she has said it wasn't her, they mostly believe her because why would she lie? But really, the main headline is that nobody really cares about at least at this point. And we've talked about this a lot, that when it comes to rogue votes, it usually matters more or less depending on who wins HOH.
And at this point in the night, prior to the HOH, I don't think anybody in particular is super interested in causing a fuss before knowing who the HOH is.
