When I do webinar interviews or I give big speeches to thousands of people all over the world, I usually will talk about data and sometimes show my dashboards, like my SaaS dashboard as I'm growing my SaaS company to top inbox, or my website dashboard, which shows how I take impressions to convert them into email leads and convert them into customers for NathanLacke.com.

The funny thing is, guys, I build these dashboards with myself, no developer, and it's basically free, and I use one tool to do it.

This is episode 660, and coming up tomorrow morning, I have a CEO coming on that many of you may know. He's in a very competitive space. His name is Ali Gardner, and he runs Unbounce, which just hit a big, big number in the millions last year in revenue.

Chapter 8: What is the revenue model for FLYX.Systems?

74.191 - 93.797 Nathan Latka

He reveals it. Tune in to find out. They've passed 14,000 customers and have raised very little money. Good morning, everybody. My guest this morning is Martin Garcia. He is the CEO and founder of Flix Systems. He's also a mechatronics engineer and co-founder of Elumexico, a solar powered lighting company for rural communities in Mexico.

He's got a MSC and UAV drone design at the University of Southampton, and he's an alumni of Singularity University at NASA Ames, California, USA, and later teaching fellow for the tracks of space and robotics. Co-founder, he's again currently co-founder and director of Flix Systems, a company that develops technology for industrial UAVs that aim to improve the productivity of many industries.

116.666 - 118.311 Nathan Latka

Martin, are you ready to take us to the top?

0

119.32 - 127.718 Martin Garcia

Thank you. Thank you, Nathan. Thank you for inviting me. And yes, that's correct. It's a pleasure to be with you. And let me if you want, I can tell you a little bit about FlixSystems.

0

127.758 - 136.637 Nathan Latka

I think a good place to start because you have kind of a lot of history is to tell us what FlixSystems does and specifically how you sustain yourself. How do you generate revenue?

137.917 - 156.461 Martin Garcia

So FlixSystems is a company that develops technology. It's not only about the drones. It's about the entire hardware, software, and algorithms combination. And the idea behind this is that, as you know, or let me tell you, there have been three waves of UAVs in history, so to say.

156.802 - 166.074 Martin Garcia

The first one was the military UAVs, which are those huge things with a limited budget and God knows what they have inside. These are drones, Martin, right?

166.254 - 166.354

Yeah.

166.84 - 192.959 Martin Garcia

Exactly, drones and UAVs. UAVs is like the more correct way of naming them, but in the end it's drones the same, right? And then the second wave is the wave of the drones that we know today, that everybody has one and it's more for photography and some professional applications. And this is huge. Everybody already has one, probably.
