22 Aug 2016
Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
This is The Top, where I interview entrepreneurs who are number one or number two in their industry in terms of revenue or customer base. You'll learn how much revenue they're making, what their marketing funnel looks like, and how many customers they have.
Chapter 2: What is Blurbiz and how does it assist with mobile ad videos?
I'm now at $20,000 per top. Five and six million.
Chapter 3: How did Hamza identify a gap in mobile content creation?
He is hell-bent on global domination. We just broke our 100,000 unit sold mark. And I'm your host, Nathan Latka. Okay, Top Tribe, this week's winner of the 100 bucks is Jose Avila. He is a 17-year-old that doesn't want to go to college and he wants to start his own business.

I am. All right. So I have to ask you, are you the guy behind the Chewbacca mask? I wish I was, man. You know, it's funny.
I ran into the lady that is managing her now, but that was really something.
Well, I'm eager to talk to you because this kind of world of early kind of influencer marketing is there's some signs to it. But my gosh, it's so much an art and you're dealing with personalities. Tell us what Blurbiz does and how you make money in this space.
Well, Blurbiz is a SaaS platform for media companies to create and distribute mobile optimized videos. That's what Blurbiz does. And our clients include people like GQ Magazine, Teen Vogue, Vogue Magazine, Allure. So all these media properties that are out there, they get a certain amount of viewership.
And now they're trying to move their focus on to where all the viewership is going, which is a mobile device, right?

Chapter 4: What are the pricing and customer details for Blurbiz?
One thing founders are always trying to figure out, especially when they're launching their business and they just got funding, is how they talk about, especially to the investors, what they pay themselves. How do you and Tamar figure that out?
Very easy. We pretty much allocate the fund all towards our business first, all towards development particularly. And if we have what we feel is potentially properly what's left over, we allocate some of it to ourselves. In the beginning of the company, founders really shouldn't be worrying too much about their salary, really on the growth of their company, because it will come later.
Just pay yourself enough to eat ramen and survive, guys.
So what'd you pay yourself in June?
Hi, you know, it might be a lot less than most people are used to, but we just pay ourselves about $2,500 each.
Okay. I mean, no, I mean, that's helpful. I wanted a real number. What you're saying sounded sexy, but I wanted the real number. So about $2,500 is enough for you to eat, sleep, get through it and scale this thing big. Awesome. All right. Well, hey, Hamza, as you're building this empire, where can people follow you personally online?
They can come follow me on my Twitter account, Hamza3Amir, and my Snapchat, of course, which is the same thing, Hamza3Amir, this is the number three.
By the way, when you're working with these brands, what's like a good number of views per snap? What are you seeing?
You know, if it's for brands, if they can at least achieve about 25,000 views per story, they're doing pretty decent, right? If they're, most brands, they're going to have a gear strategy towards Snapchat and hit this number off pretty fast, leveraging those social properties. Anything higher than 100, you're really doing a really great job.
