Sharks Promote Top Prospects Chernyshov & Cardwell

The San Jose Sharks have promoted top prospects Igor Chernyshov and Ethan Cardwell from their AHL affiliate, the Barracuda, to fill in for injured forwards Will Smith and Philip Kurashev. Chernyshov, a second-round draft pick, has impressed with eleven goals and twenty-three points in twenty-five games. Cardwell, a twenty-three-year-old, has contributed three goals and six assists in fourteen AHL games, with a positive plus-minus rating and a goal in four NHL appearances.
