Matt Sekeres 1:07
We've had some shows interrupted because of,
Blake Price 1:13
Things beyond our control.
Matt Sekeres 1:14
Internet speed.
Blake Price 1:17
Seems very.
Matt Sekeres 1:18
Conspiratorial. There's a line to be drawn there, but we think it's all.
Blake Price 1:24
Moments after introducing Don Taylor to talk about the closure of a Rogers property. But hey, that's not us. We're not into conspiracy theories.
Matt Sekeres 1:35
Well, we have a provider. The hotel has a provider. So it's a little. It's confusing. Complicated. Right, right, right. Anyways. Good to be back. Good to have you back. Vancouver Canucks schedule dropped today. Well, National Hockey League schedule dropped today across all 32 teams. And that leads us to our daily poll question. Do you plan to support the rebuild by attending Canucks games this season? You can vote yes. You can vote no, do so at the S&P X and YouTube channels. Mr. Price, I usually go to two, three games a year, and I see no reason why this year will be different. I recognize the home team will have even less chance of victory, although as last year went along, I mean, they just weren't winning games at Rogers Arena anyways.
Matt Sekeres 2:28
So yeah, I will pick out a couple. Usually like to go to one in December, you know, the holiday spirit, the Christmas season upon us. People more up for out and about and fun and festivities. So I like the vibe. Usually like to get to one in December and then typically get to one in the new year and maybe there's a floater in there. Sometimes I just like to pick a team or a player I'd really like to see for the opposition and hit that one up as well.
Blake Price 2:58
I usually go to maybe one. I don't think I went this year to one in the seats. Because we usually go one or two. I think this year I'll probably just go on my media pass because there should be a lot of those hanging around. Should be a lot of open seats in the media box. So I'll just use my media pass. For the Vancouver Canucks.
Matt Sekeres 3:24
Yeah, it was most odd. The Canucks start restricting media seats at a time when the industry is shrinking, saying, oh, we just don't have room. No, no. Trust us.
Blake Price 3:34
When you had a very, very robust media, you had plenty of room. As for fans and what they will think... I don't know that the two go hand in hand, the theory that do a rebuild, do a rebuild, and I will attend if you do a rebuild. I don't think those need to be in conjunction with each other. There's a lot of ways to support this team that don't include going to the arena. I mean, most fans do support the team that way. And I don't just mean by rooting them on. I mean actually financially supporting them, buying the merchandise and stuff like that. Usually that's the gateway right there is wearing the colors, paying the money that ultimately trickles back down to the club. So I'll say that most people won't need that as an excuse to rebuild and they'll vote no.
Blake Price 4:25
That would be my guess.
Matt Sekeres 4:28
Early voting is pretty heavily yes. Yeah, 72%. Yeah, I don't know if there are Canucks fans out there that feel like, oh, now I owe it to them because I've been screaming for a rebuild. Yeah, the guilt. I've been screaming for a rebuild for so long. We're not a religion, folks.
Blake Price 4:45
Now that they're finally rebuilding. We're not a religion. It doesn't come with guilt.
Matt Sekeres 4:49
It's just hockey. Now, of course, the other thing, and we'll see how this season goes. Needless to say, I think there's a little bit of worry over at Rogers Arena about what the crowds are going to.
