There'll be plenty of events, both winter and summer Olympics, that I enjoy watching. But for whatever reason, I find myself attached to some of these soccer teams sometimes. Like I could barely identify Cote d'Ivoire on a map, but I was pulling hard for them to get the equalizer here against Norway in a skim. How about like Norway-Brazil in the next round? That should be a lot of fun. Anyways, we'll talk some footy later.

But we also know they're going to bring in a veteran defenseman, a veteran defenseman for the purposes of depth. And veteran leadership. And you know how Canucks Nation loves its ex-Canucks, right? And so we're asking on the Daily Poll question, which ex-defenseman should the Canucks sign for depth and veteran leadership? Ian Cole? Eric Goodbranson? Noah Jolson? Luke Shin? The room seemed to implode after Ian Cole left a couple of years ago. He was one and done here. The lone playoff season they've had in the last little while. Good Branson was a terrible trade.
Once upon a day, they gave up way too much for a defensive defenseman that the league was moving away from. I'll give him credit. He's hung on. And in part it's because he's a great communicator. Uh, Does not lack for personality, communication skills. His mom's gotten involved in politics. Noah Jolson of Abbotsford. Of course, he was here not long ago, then joined up with Rick Tockett in Philadelphia. And then Luke Shen. I mean, one of the all-time good guys, right? Good guy. Who we've seen a couple of times in Canucks colors. So there you go. Do you have a preference here, Price?

Well, first of all, on the relative scale, Noah Juleson could be a development camp next to these guys. Noah Juleson is 29 years of age. He's a spring chicken. He's also only got 200 games in the NHL versus the other guys who are absolute surefire NHL veterans. But Ian Colesman. Ian Cole's going to be 38 midseason. Luke Shen's going to be 37 midseason. Erica Branson's going to be 35 midseason. These are seniors. But you know who had the best season, I would say, of those three last year?
