Maybe they were asked and maybe Morocco as the higher seeded team. I genuinely don't know how it worked. I know that ahead of the first games, the colors were determined it was going to be red, black, white for Canada. So that was predetermined. How it works now, I'm not so sure.
But hey, Portugal won and the weird ones lost. We've seen teams have to wear the weird ones. Switzerland and Green, for God's sakes, right?

oh that is the billion dollar question because they are up against a formidable opponent one that i don't know how many people realize how strong this moroccan team is when you're talking about wanting to face the netherlands instead of morocco in that knockout game you know a top six top seven country in the world because of how much you fear morocco i honestly feel like they might be the toughest matchup physically certainly physically for Canada than any other team. And you feel sometimes against a team that you can set up against tactically and even skill-wise, somehow you can grind out defensively and come away with something. But I don't want to say that I feel like Morocco can overpower Canada because Canada is a pretty physical team too.
But it's going to take absolutely everything we have to be able to not only shut them down because of how quick and powerful and aggressive they are, but then try to find a way to break them down because defensively, they're so stout. They've got a fantastic goalkeeper. We know about Akraf... You know, the fullback. Yes, the right back, yes. Hakeemi. Ashraf Hakeemi. Yes. Yeah, I think he's one of the best players in the world, even if I forgot his name for two seconds there. But, yeah, on all fronts, it's going to be very difficult. Some people have talked about possibly changing the formation or playing with five in the back. Jesse Marsh talked about that. that he was maybe a little bit upset with himself that he didn't do that in the second half against Switzerland.
But a lot of questions to be asked and only going to be answered in the 90 minutes or 90 minutes plus on Saturday.
Is Morocco a better version of Canada? Is it safe to say these two teams try to play the same way? And then can Canada just play out of their minds in that way and meet them head on?
Yeah, that's kind of a good way of putting it, I think. An imposing team, physically demanding team, high energy and intensity team, one that's not afraid to pressurize further up the field. They've got all of that. And then one thing that I really like about them, too, is now that they've got good tournament experience, both obviously from 2022, where they went to the semifinals, And, you know, a good number of players from that team still with the side.
