I'm great. Thanks for having me on. I love this time of year. Obviously, you get so much draft content and coverage, so it's really exciting. Honestly, I'm starting to get to the point where I'm like, I just want to see what happens because you hear so much over the course of the year. I just want to see where my favorite guys are falling and kind of get to go play for the rest of their careers, hopefully. So it's a very cool time, and I just love it all.
You've built quite a following on social media between your accounts and your show, Prospect On Show. Tell us, how'd you get into this racket?
Yeah, I mean, the path and the journey to being in sports is so, so difficult. I mean, the hardest part is getting in. So I started as a contributor at Draft Prospects Hockey a couple years back, and, you know, I just started to grind. I texted people like Stephen Ellis, Shane Molloy, you know, Russ Cohen, and they really helped me understand the industry in a ton of different ways. And, you know, they gave me a lot of advice and then the community kind of helped push up my content because I focus on a lot of the player strengths and a lot of the media side in terms of the digital content. So I think it was all like the path that was supposed to be taken, but it took a long time to get on there as well as picking what i wanted to do for the rest of my life you know i started as a nursing student then went to finance then went to you know sports and i feel like i finally found my thing and my people so it was a long journey but i'm happy i'm i'm finally here nursing finance sports that is a zigzag across the life spectrum wow
Well, I'm not surprised to hear that. Stephen Ellis and Shane Malloy are good friends of the program and terrific people who rise other boats as opposed to sinking them. But we do have some friends who have worked on the commodities exchange there in Chicago. Anthony, I'm not sure we're going to match the financials in NHL draft work that were available to you there. I'm not sure we're buying a townhouse on the Gold Coast like our buddy Tom.
Who is Anthony Donati (The Prospect Don) and how did he get into draft coverage?
You have made a bold choice, sir. You have made a bold choice. But you're doing this out of Chicago, so like born and raised there? Is that right?
Yeah, so born and raised in Berwyn, and then I moved to Highland Park to get into a better school system, a little one that fit me better. And then I went to North Carolina for college. So, you know, I think I got to stay there for about seven years. So not totally Chicago, but I feel like that was just for college. So I don't really count that. But yeah, I mean, Chicago has been my home forever. Yeah.
Well, and of course, that Chicago Steel program, they have some players. I'm sure you get out and see them. And Chapel Hill, right down the road there from Raleigh, where the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes reside.
Canucks picking third here. Let's get to it here. One, two, three. I'm curious for most of these pundits here. how different is your one, two, three ranking from your one, two, three mock draft? Let us know what you think.
Yeah, this is a great question. Yeah. So for me, I have, I still have McKenna Stenberg Maholtra as my one, two, three. I'm just really big on, you know, what Caleb Maholtra could bring as a potential one C. So I actually think that the only difference would be if the sharks go read at two. I mean, All we've heard is it's about 50-50 at this point. I think we're hearing more read, but it's very interesting to me what can happen because I think one and three are kind of locked in with McKenna and Malhotra, and then Stenberg could fall to four.
