‘And when we’re young, most of our programming is done by the age of 7. And that’s really immature to run off for the rest of your life, I think. So, it’s guaranteed I would say, that some, or I think even a lot, of those neuro-associations that are incorrect are lies that we have programmed. It’s our reality and we are believing them, but it’s not the truth. And that’s where we can go wrong in life. We can think we are unworthy, we can think we’re unlovable, we can think all these lies and negative things about ourselves, in fact we even believe them because of both what was imprinted upon us and the meaning we’ve made of it.’ ~ Simone Leslie In this week’s interview, we hear Simone Leslie’s personal journey and experiences with self-worth, mental health and what it has taken her to be on the powerful journey of self-love. Simone shares many concepts, including the meaning of choice, the importance of self-love and self-sufficiency, and the role of metaphors in personal growth and development. Simone explained the concept of neuro associations, which are the subconscious meanings we attach to objects or events, and how these shape our beliefs and behaviours. She highlighted that these beliefs are often imprinted upon us from an early age, before we have the critical thinking skills to assess them and can lead to negative self-perceptions. Simone Leslie is a Master Neuro Strategist, TV host, speaker, & author. Beginning her career as a television presenter on Good Morning Australia, for nearly three decades now, she has presented to millions through national TV and live audiences across the globe. Her focus is to help leaders address the lies stored in neural programs that cause subconscious sabotage, hindering their goals and success. She brings the practical wisdom of Spirit-led science. Simone has worked with Fortune 500 companies, top corporate executives, elite athletes, SME’s and everyday individuals around the world, bringing alignment, unity, multiplication, clarity, and breakthrough. “Most often the thing that limits us from achieving our assignment is not what we don’t know, but rather what we do! The limiting beliefs and lies we run off, about life, what we deserve, our worth, finances, core identity, Spiritual authority and inheritance. This is what holds us back from achieving what we were born to do. The process of breakthrough involves the perspective of Truth, & the re-wiring of limiting neurological pathways. This is what delivers results!” Simone explains. Simone’s expertise in this field is grounded in real-life experience. Conquering fear, trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, and being suicidal, she was drawn to study the brain, hoping to discover what was wrong with her. What she found instead, was what was right with her. How our brains are wired to make meaning of everyday circumstances, and these form our beliefs and values, creating our reality and ultimately dictating our results, – good or bad. BUT… our reality is not always the Truth. Over almost 30 years Simone has created many powerful Neuro Strategies and processes allowing Truth to bring freedom, healing, restoration, and multiplication. Simone is co-founder and Director of a Christian women’s organisation “Daughters of The King Global” in over 80 nations online, as well as running live women’s conferences & retreats in Africa, Europe, USA, Australia and Asia, restoring, and equipping women to own their brilliance, identity, authority and inheritance in Christ. With her husband David, they have built and funded orphanages, childcare, schools & water projects to transform communities in Cambodia, Zambia, Ethiopia and Kenya. Her definition of Self Love is: I love me now, I am imperfectly perfect. If I don’t love me, I won’t love you as well. I am fascinated with myself, and that creates growth. Her favourite quote is from: How much do you love you between 1-10 and if it is not a 10 you are sabotaging yourself. My love language was quality time. Beliefs are like train stations and you move stations all the time. We have neuro associations for everything. We also make neuro associations for what we experience. We make meaning all the time. And those neuro-associations are lies; they are programmed but they are not true. Some see life with a cup as half full and some see it half empty. We all have the same ability to change the neuro-plasticity of the brain at any age. A secondary gain is a subconscious thing; everyone has them. If you seek love you will find it. All things work together for good. Every story has a happy ending and if it is not happy it has not ended. Black will make the colours pop. I love to help people expose and get rid of the lies. We rewire the values and rules. I am imperfectly perfect. When we love ourselves, we become an advocate for the younger part of us.
