Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Breakfast with Gary and Tim What is that? That's not the sort of music we roll with here on SEN Breakfast. Wisp, what is that? Love it. I've got no idea, but I like it. It must be a newie, is it? It must be for our man that's wandered into the studio along with Sammy Ebbing. Nice to see you again, Samuel. Good to see you, Gary. Been a long time, has it? I forgot what you looked like.
Pretty sure I saw you last Thursday. You didn't leave much of an impression. I couldn't remember that. And Lean Green Tom Green. No, Lean Clean Tom Green's in the studio having been to the Dua Lipa concert. I believe that was the music.
That certainly was. It was great to hear. I appreciate that a lot. And thanks for having me again, boys.
Where was it, this magnificent concert that you went to?
It was at Kudos Bank Arena. It was a couple of years ago now, but I believe that did get a run and I was starstruck.
Yeah, well, it's not going to get another run on our program. I'll tell you right now.
Is that your style of music? Not generally, no. I make an exception for Dua Lipa. I do like some of her stuff, but not generally. Right.
So Lean Clean's with us for the hour. He was only going to come in at 20 past eight, but we thought, hey, he's here, get him in.
He was good last night on the agenda setters too.

Chapter 2: What recent news is there about Tyson Stengle?
I know what he's thinking behind it is. He's frustrated. And as I've said many times, they're so proud of what Tyson's been able to achieve, given that not everyone would be aware and understanding of his background. So... They view Tyson Stengel as an unbelievable success story. Already, yeah. At Geelong. That is true. And the fact that he's still involved in footy is...
well it's an achievement for him and it's something that they are really really proud of yeah where he got to against the odds all the way through his formative years so so very difficult so to get to where he got to incredible but at the moment specifically to this he's a long long way from playing football right now and he has unfortunately lost and burned a lot of his closest allies to the point where not many of them are in touch with him anymore it's day to day it's week to week which means he can turn around the positive but at the moment all going down the negative path am I right in saying that his management aren't in contact with him either they don't
They've lost contact with him? Very, very limited contact.
So that's Anna Scully, who's Eddie Betts' wife, and Eddie himself. We know Eddie, oh, gee, that family has done so much. I mean, he became part of their family, essentially, and Eddie took on that assistant coaching role at Geelong, and they've nurtured him all the way through. But, yep, he's two of the people, unfortunately, that have lost touch.
And what happens, and I understand it because we're exposed to ā We have a bit of an understanding of how the system works from a player to media and to a newsman.
That's very tough.
And our audience probably don't. So they're saying, hey, well, what's the secrecy here? Why don't you just come out and say it? Well, no one can just come out and say it. You don't know.
I think from a media point of view, look, we're well down the food chain and no one barracks for the journo, but I'm sure if I can speak at the risk of speaking for everyone, no one wants to go the full hog with this for fear of consequence about what might potentially happen. You don't want to be that person. There's basic medical privacy at the heart of it as well.
So we try to, because there's a thirst for people to know, we try to go as far as we can without breaching all those things now.

Chapter 3: What are the challenges surrounding the AFL's illicit drugs policy?
Nine match sanction, two suspended. Frankston players adamant that he had said it. Lance Collard and St Kilda adamant that he didn't. It'll get extremely legal heavy tonight. I saw, just speaking to the agenda setters, Tom Morris actually had a part of the St Kilda submission included last night.
It states this, on behalf of the Saints, the tribunal's state of comfortable satisfaction was reached by unreasonable, illogical and irrational reasoning in the absence of any objective or otherwise reliable evidence in support of the charge. So essentially, it's a he said, he said, and they've sided with the other party.
He said against two he says.
Yeah. He said, he said, he said. Yeah. Much like the Zach Mutter situation as well. But, of course, this one, very, very, very serious.
I don't think there's anything we can add to that.
Sounds like a lengthy hearing, that one. That could go the distance. Bobby Hill will make his highly anticipated return to football via the VFL against Essendon at Victoria Park tomorrow. At least that has been the plan this week. for player and club. The teams need to be confirmed today. Obviously hasn't played since the end of last season at AFL level. He did play a couple of VFL games as well.
So there's a player that's had his issues, but at the moment, looks like he pulls the boots back on, which is awesome news for him in Collingwood. 24 rounds in a, so 24 games in a season, Wisp.

Chapter 4: How does the AFL handle player privacy regarding substance issues?
It looks as though we're going to try to get to with Tassie coming into the competition.
Well, let's ask the only player here at the moment. 24, about the right number, or do you want a few more?
More. Well, the thing is I'm kind of a bit ā I reckon I'd almost go for more. We have ā More. Well, I wouldn't necessarily go more than 24. I think 24 is not a bad number. But when people ā I know there's been a lot of push to have less games in the season. I'm personally like we play so many preseason games. Why don't we actually make a few more of them worth premiership points?
I mean, if you look at most other leagues around the world, like the Premier League, for instance ā They have a lot of their games at the start of the year where they understand that the product is not the same as when it comes right to the pointy end and in season. But if you can get more games, more people there and sell it that way, I suppose, instead of having so many preseason games.
Okay. So the counter argument to that is the players wouldn't be necessarily prepared correctly for the AFL season if you didn't have preseason games. What do you say to that? Even if you're at the coalface.
Yeah, I don't know if I believe in that only because, again, AFL, I think, has the longest preseason of any professional sport. I think that by the time you get to the back end of preseason, you're basically playing full-length games, not only as in intras, or you're playing against other teams. So I don't know why you couldn't just maybe turn a few of those or make it a little bit earlier.
I'm broken out in the cold sweat. Gary wants to shorten it. 24-game season. You've got to be kidding, aren't you?
Gary wants to shorten the...
length of the game well if you're gonna play 24 then the game has to come back to 100 minutes i could i could go with that yeah so you'd be happy just to i mean you have unofficial practice games no one's saying they wouldn't eventuate so you just have a couple of glorify match simulation sessions well against something like i mean you don't want to make the match because some of those match teams can be scrappy so you don't want to make sure that you don't want to completely detract from the product but i just think that you end up running around so many more times why wouldn't you make it for premiership points yeah
