Chapter 1: What insights does Tom Green share about the Hall of Fame?
Breakfast with Gary and Tim.
It's good to have you with us, I feel better. After that, we had a bit of a late night last night with the Hall of Fame, so to have Wellness Wednesday come in and just get moving, did a bit of gigong in the ad break, just to get the lymphatic drainage system going, that's what it was all about.
I know. I know. You explained it beautifully, Dr. Doolittle, and you said the animals all came out too while you were doing it.
You don't take me seriously.
I am taking you seriously, but it's hard. When you say stuff like- What? Wisp, you won't believe it. Animals started to appear- That's true. From my property. It's true, Tim. All wanted to join in. No, I didn't say that. You said.
You looked around and they're following you and- The kangaroos were jumping up and down on the pine. Nature, that's all it was. The sun's coming up. You're doing a bit of grounding. You're moving your body. You're getting a bit of drainage, lymphatic drainage. Right.
So you're thumping your chest.
No, no, you're doing all sorts of movements.
So when you do all that. Yeah. All that sort of up and down with your arms and throwing them back and forwards. You're opening up your diaphragm and stuff.

Chapter 2: How does Tom Green view the potential Hall of Famers from GWS?
i'm actually not too sure how it went down with the head office and the thing is though i don't want to find out because i actually agree with him toby is you know he's prone to a couple of uh sort of mad schemes that aren't always the best thing ever but i kind of agree like that's one where everyone is going to be watching the world cup and it's such like an amazing event we all want to get behind the socceroos why wouldn't you sort of adjust those times so we can uh we can do a
I suppose the AFL, they're obviously going to look after, I suppose, the scheduling first and getting all that right. But I feel like they might have missed a trick there. It'd be nice to be able to watch both.
Hey, Tom, take us inside the Giants locker room, the dressing room. How many players do you think will be engaged in the World Cup?
Absolutely everyone. Everyone? We're about to, yeah, in about 10, 15 minutes, we've got our World Cup suite, which we've got full buy-in. Absolutely every single person is a part of a group where, you know, we're going to do our draft, pick our teams. We've already had our draft order done and we're just about to, you know, pick some teams.
There's been trades, there's been dinners thrown on the table. I think there's been a few other little sketchy things Toby's thrown in that he's trying to get some deals done. So we've got complete buy-in and everyone will be, you know, off to ultra football in Alexandria soon, getting their jerseys and supporting their team. So,
We've had great buy-in, and that's part of the reason I'm saying I reckon we need to adjust a few of those things so that we can all watch.
That's magnificent. We are old, Tim, see? We're not up to it. These boys are right across all this stuff.
And the NBA, too. Have the boys been buying into the NBA playoff between the Spurs and the Knicks?
Yeah, big time. I think it's sort of the bane of the existence of some of the high-performance stuff because it's hard to get, you know, deadlifting sets done properly when everyone's gathered around the TVs in the gym screaming at the TV when the games get close. So, yeah, everyone's completely bought into that as well. It's a great time for sport.

Chapter 3: What is Tom Green's perspective on the upcoming World Cup?
That's the only thing that's let me down. My sort of left quad is coming back pretty nicely with my calf. I don't have big calves anyway. It's probably part of the reason I'm really slow. But that one, yeah, disintegrated pretty quick. So I've just got to strengthen that up a little bit more. Then I'll have my first run, which I'm really, really looking forward to. So it's going well.
In your own mind, where does it sort of, we won't hold you to it, but you hope to be kicking a footy by the end of the year and hit a full pre-season? Where does that all sit?
Yeah, I think that I would like to. I think I'll be there about a pretty full pre-season. I think the way that the timing is going to work, I should be able to get back and get a full pre-season under my belt, which I am really excited for. Maybe it's not underestimated, but I just think a full pre-season is so important to how you can run out a year and how much of a difference it makes.
So that is the plan, and I think it's tracking okay for that so far.
Indeed. Just one final question for me. You did say before that you thought Fremantle were above everybody else at the competition. How much above everybody else in the competition do you think they are?
Well, I think it's, I'll be honest, I think it's them and Sydney. And, you know, it always is going to pay me to give Sydney credit. But I think that, you know, they're just such a good side. And talk about another team that can put on, you know, massive runs. And when they get momentum going, they're really hard to stop.
I think Fremantle and Sydney at the minute are a fair way ahead of everyone else. But I still don't think ā I mean, there's a lot made of sort of Brisbane's slow start. But Brisbane, we just saw again on the weekend what they can do when they really sort of get going and hit their straps. And I think they're still really capable of that.
So Brisbane are there about, so I'm never going to discredit them. But I think Fremantle and Sydney, they've got ā They've got to put a bit of a gap on the pack in a minute.
Hey, Tommy, you're winning fans everywhere. We're getting great feedback off the Tebatex for you. Just before we let you go, we love... We're just also getting to learn a bit more about the GWS Giants players. Yeah, you brought Connor Iden to the table for us, and that was a good chat. Tell me about this young man who calls himself Fontempalli, Joe Fonte.
