Chapter 1: What is the satirical news outlet The Onion trying to acquire?
Do you remember when back in the day on Instagram we would be really nosy about things and we started this series because we just really want to know? Do you remember this?
What the fuck are you talking about?
We started an Instagram series called We Just Really Want to Know where we'd poll people on things that we were just nosy about because we were having a debate about... Wedding wishing wells. Wedding wishing wells and how much you should actually spend. So we just got the data and then used it in our own lives.
And we found out the average person thinks you should put in, I think the result was $125 per head on average.
This was five years ago, though. So you've got to account for inflation.
$150. Yeah.
That's a lot of money. I have one of my own. Okay. If we want to do this again.

Chapter 2: What happened with Noah Lyles and his wife's wedding dress reaction?
Yeah. So I was talking to Ollie, my partner, the other day, and he was buying a gift for someone. I obviously have to keep this in code because he hasn't given this gift yet.
Okay.
But this person is really important to him and he needed to buy a really, really good gift.
Let's pretend it is a handbag. Okay.
No, no, I can say what the gift is. I don't think this person listens as well. It's a man.
No, no, no. We can't follow that anymore because I met a listener in a very unusual place this week that really rattled me.
Well, if this comes back to bite me, then, like, that was meant to happen. So this man, it's for a male, and he said, I really need to spend a lot of money on this gift because this person's done a lot for me. And he goes, I've been thinking of buying him an umbrella.

Chapter 3: What recommendations do the hosts have for this week?
Yeah. This umbrella has been in our office for quite some time now.
I'm like, why is Zara taking that fucking thing off? You can't buy this person an umbrella.
I would say a designer umbrella.
It is a designer umbrella. He's like, no, you don't understand. Like, my umbrella's amazing. I'll get it engraved. It's really expensive, this umbrella. Feels incredibly luxe to have an engraved umbrella. So I said, but even if you spend this amount of money, he's not going to know that you spent this much money because he'll get it and people will say, what did Ollie get you?
And he'll say an umbrella and people will think he spent $30. And so he said, it's not a problem. Everyone Googles the price of gifts.

Chapter 4: What are the sponsorship details for The Devil Wears Prada 2?
And obviously on a designer umbrella, you'll see the designer umbrella brand name.
Do you think that's true? Do you think that everyone Googles the price of gifts?
So you receive a gift and you never Google?
No, I sometimes do. But do you Google every gift? I think we all have to be honest with ourselves. That's why I want to anonymously poll. Not every gift because when I get a candle, I go, I don't know how much that candle costs. I would say. If you're not sure, like let's say I gave you something, like it's a really big milestone. Hang on.
Well, let's apply this to your Christmas present last year.
I got you a couple of things from a brand that you like. Did you Google?

Chapter 5: How do the hosts feel about the controversy surrounding Alex Jones?
No, but I already knew. Yeah.
So I already knew what you spent.
When Ollie got you a piece of jewellery. For Christmas.
Yeah.
That necklace he got you.
Did you Google? I Googled.
Do you Google everything?
I think everyone does. I would like the stat. Can we poll?
Of course we can poll. And don't be annoying about it.

Chapter 6: What insights do the hosts share about wedding traditions?
The thing about these is I'm like, actually hold yourselves accountable. Ask us. I'm sick of the judgment. Hold yourselves accountable. Be truthful and honest with us. Honesty is the best policy. And maybe use the umbrella as the yardstick or the umbrella stick. If you received an umbrella as a present that it looked fancy, but you're like, it could be 20 bucks. And I was expecting more.
Would you Google the price of it?
How much was the umbrella?
I'm not telling you.
I cannot tell you.

Chapter 7: What are the lukewarm takes shared by the hosts this week?
That would be me. It is Dumb Stuff Friday, team. We are very, very happy to be here. Feeling dumb? I'm pretty smart.
Yeah, dumb as always, though. Take her out of the studio. Okay, coming up on today's episode, the satirical news outlet The Onion has been trying to acquire Alex Jones' site Infowars. We're going to give you a bit of a who, what, where, when, why. We just really care about it. A video of an American sprinter, Noah Lyles, reacting to his wife's wedding dress is everywhere at the moment.
We're going to react to that. And then, you guys loved them so fucking much last week. We are bringing them back and making them a thing. We are doing lukewarm takes.
Chapter 8: What humorous observations do the hosts make about societal norms?
Annabelle, I know you're not supposed to be on microphone in these episodes. Did you make us a sound effect? Yes, I do.
Fuck yeah. Yay. Oh, we have been treated.
She's feeding us. But first, of course, a quick shout out to our sponsor, The Devil Wears Prada 2. 20 years after the original, Miranda, Andy, Emily and Nigel are returning to the fashionable streets of New York City. Catch it in cinemas from April 30. Yay. All right. Recommendation time. Do you want to go first? I was going to say, why don't you go off?
Go off. Go off, queen. Okay, two from me. And this is the thing. I know. Last week we said. Don't be surprised if I have zero. We ate all our recommendations in one go. I'm a cookie monster again.
Off we go. Okay. Well, first of all, I just want to remind people that Your Friends and Neighbours is a show I love on Apple TV. I do not see people talking about it enough. It's that show with Jon Hamm. You have recommended this. Season one, I recommend it. You loved this. I love it. I do not see enough discourse in the culture about this show.
This show, you know that meme of Jon Hamm where it's like, ooh, and he's dancing in the nightclub? Yes. Yep, that's from this show. And because a meme was created, that's... I just, it's the only time I see anyone reference the show. That's the only time it seizes the culture.
I feel like myself, Mitch and my dad are the only people watching this show, but clearly we're not because the season two was commissioned and season two is really, really good.
He's a divorced man. Well, separated, yeah. And there's something quirky about the plot because I remember I got close to thinking it was for me and then the plot sounded like it fell off a cliff. So they're super wealthy.
Everyone in this is super fucking wealthy. They would all have very fancy umbrellas.
