Well, this is gonna be a powerful interview, but you know, you've been on the show once, we did a life story on you. And um And Believe it or not, you made a promise on there that said if you ever did, you know, recount The actual day. that uh it would be here and um you kept the promise. Yeah. Thank you. Here I am. And uh And ironically we're basically neighbors now. Yeah. Yeah. Which is really cool.
Yeah. We live like tw twenty minutes, fifteen minutes away from each other now.
Yep. And last time you were here you're still in
UK. So Yeah, I was back and forth, yeah. And then I haven't been back to the UK for a few years now, but um Yeah. Well pretty much straight after that interview, that was more or less the last time I was in the UK. How does that feel? Um It's a weird feeling because I cannot say how much I love this country. I love it so much in every way. Uh the obviously there's there's some things that I I'm not keen on or whatever, like everything in life, you can't be happy, but I I love this country so much and I love being here and it's such a privilege. Um And I've said this lots of times. I only wish more Americans could see that. That's why everyone's trying to get in. No one's trying to get out. No matter how bad they say it is.
Mm. That's uh it's one of those things where people will say it's um the United States of America is so good, even the people who hate it won't leave. So um so there's that. So I love I love actually love being here. I and what the strangest um It's just strange how things work. So in my hometown, which is in northern England, there's a small village where I was first uh baptized into the Church of England. And then um And I that's my my thinking spot. I'd go there and every time I was in the country or if times were hard I'd jump in the car, drive from Hereford up to north east England and go to this spot and just walk round and kinda get energy off it and just I love I love that place so much as well.
And the last time I was there I went to the thinking spot gr like a bunch of trees. And something came over me of thinking. This is the last time I'm ever gonna be here. Which did not make any sense because at the time I'd had a f had had a plan to come back, I think it was only three, four weeks later, to pick up some more stuff, cause I was getting moving all my footprint over to the United States. So I was planning on coming back, but something is sure as sure as I knew it. Something said, You're you will never come back here. So me being as dramatic as I am, I was thinking, Oh, maybe I'm gonna have a car wreck and die or Maybe there's gonna be a um something catastrophic happen in the UK, but I was sure that I was never
Got it. Visit this place again. And it made no sense. then it's funny how things turn out and now that's true. Wow. Um, I'll never I'll at this point in time It's likely that I I was right. I can't go back to my um To my country where I was from. But now America's my home.
is uh our relationship continues to develop, you know, now that you're twenty minutes away, we're twenty minutes apart and um gone to mass together, went to Bass together this morning. go out to eat together, rear my son's and my daughter's baptism. Um, you know, one one thing I've noticed about You and your life are just a How many? Odd synchronicities. Um, unexplainable. synchronicities happen in your life. And I have I have a lot of those happen too, but um I wanna dive into some of those, you know, as as as we go through the interview, but I want to start with an introduction.
