There are kids in this world who are different. Special.
One of them found us.
And became family.
But her time ran out. And now, that girl is missing. Is anyone here? Rinley? Okay, Jude. Not your first time as a stranger in a strange land. Now, let's get our bearings here, shall we? We are on a beach. Quite tropical. Am I back in Neverland? But this looks quite different. Wilder. More... primitive. Camilla? You wouldn't happen to be here, would you? Is anyone here? Ah! My foot!
Did I trip her? What is that? Wires. Let's dig you out and see what we've got. Okay. Spin it around. It can't be.
Oh! Oh!
Oh, arbiters of fate, you have indeed rewarded me again. Not only will you help me track down my dear Brenly, but I'm going to have so much fun doing it.

Chapter 2: Who is the old friend Jude discovers?
It feels... different. I just need to... lean on you. A sec, Katie. I've got you. What's going on? No wireless signals in 1989. No way to connect or recharge. Holiday? Holiday, can you hear me?
Monica?
I got it. Her pulse is strong, respiration normal. It's like she's just asleep. Holiday?
Chapter 3: How does Jude react to finding someone missing?
Wake up, Holiday!
I think we need to get her to the first aid tent.
Here, Katie, help me lift her into the chair. We can push her.
No, no, no. It's okay. Monica and I can handle this. But I know the people who run the carnival. Yeah, and I'm sure they prefer you keep working, Madame Fortuna. Come on. We'll be fine. You got her, Monica? Yeah, Mom. Let's go.
Okay, come here. Come on, Katie. We can't just let them. Katie, what happened in here? Mr. Horner, I can explain. My tent is destroyed. I don't know how this happened, but I know this. It's coming out of your pay.
But that's going to be a whole week's salary.
Try two.
Ugh, I'm never getting out of here.
That's your boss?

Chapter 4: What challenges does Jude face in the new environment?
50%.
No way.
25%.
What do you even need the cash for?
I need to fix my bike. Plus, I want to take Monica out for a nice dinner.
I don't think she cares about that.
Well, I care. And the truth is, it's not really about money for me. I want to know what's going on.
Going on with what?
Everything. Who is Holiday? What do you know about my future with Monica? Okay.

Chapter 5: What mysterious elements are introduced in Jude's journey?
Internet? Never mind. Why do you look so sad? Long story short, Laura, I'm stuck. Offline in every way. Mom, we need a different pillow. This one has Laura's drool stains on it. Even with a clean pillowcase, we can't ask Holiday to sleep on that.
It's very generous of you to let her stay in your bedroom.
It's fine. I just, I want her to be comfortable.
Monica, what is it you aren't telling me about your friend Holiday? Huh? Is she even your friend? Because you don't seem to know much about her. And she got awfully squirrely when I asked about her parents.
Okay, the truth is, I don't know much about her. She sort of appeared in that tent, but she's lost and I want to help her.
I had a feeling. Listen, I know how much you love a good mystery, especially a medical one. Every other girl your age has teen beat magazines and a picture of the new kids on the block, but your bookshelf is filled with scientific American magazines and photos of Jonas Salk and Marie Curie and J.P. Whittier. Scientists are my heroes, Mom. And I love that.
But, sweetie, holiday isn't our mystery to solve. I think we need to call the police.
No, Mom, please. Just let me talk to her first.
I raised a big-hearted daughter. I shouldn't be surprised she likes to bring in strays.

Chapter 6: How does the conversation shift when discussing family?
Holiday, you woke up! We were just talking. Let me guess, Laura was doing less of the talking. It was a good conversation.
How on earth do I help this girl? Monica, how many times do I have to tell you not to leave your magazines on the floor? J.P. Whittier and his... No. Wait, it can't be. She looks like... Operator, how may I direct your call? Operator, can you please connect me to Whittier Corp. in Juneau, Alaska?
One moment, please. Thank you for calling Whittier Corp.
Yes, hello. I need to speak with J.P. Whittier. It's urgent. I'm sorry. No, you have to put me through. No, tell him it's about his daughter. Adelaide.
Blasted sand. Where's the rest of you? If this washed up on the beach after the blast, the remains of this mess can't be too far. Where's Ivan when you need him? Hold on. What's that? Yes! That should at least help with the charging. Surely I can figure this out. After all, I created this work of art in the first place. I will one day. Maybe if I just connect these wires here.
Can't forget the hidden solar charging panel. Yes. I think this should provide just enough power to turn it on. Things are about to get very interesting. Never expected to be holding a head in my hands, but... Can you hear me? Hello? Do you understand me? Maybe if I hold the head closer to the sun for charging purposes. Alas, poor robot. I knew him well. Yes, yes, it's working.
Your eyes are opening. Hello, can you hear me? Jude? Welcome back to the world, Adam. Where am I? Where... Where is my body?
