Chapter 1: What was the significance of Burnley's victory over Newcastle?
Good pressure, really good pressure. All doing well. Now finds Goodmanson, and back it goes to Corb.
Goodmanson's there again, and a chance, and a goal, and last. Burnley take the lead.
A brilliant night for Burnley, their second home win of the season. Goal scorer and man of the match now with Patrick Davison.
Guys, well played. Jack, is that a real tight battle you've come through tonight?
Yeah, we knew it was always going to be a tough game. They're an organised team now. It seems like they've got a good team spirit and they've got some good results this season, so it was always going to be a tough game. But we had a good shape, like we have been doing this season, worked hard and we got rewards for it.
Geoff, did you feel almost from the start that one goal would win that?
Yeah, I think even watching the clips on them. Over the last few games, they've been very tight. They've been hard to break down for certain clubs. We knew it would be tough today. The main thing was we kept working hard, kept battling, and we got the goal in the end. Obviously, it's one you should score, but what are you thinking as the ball comes over?

Chapter 2: How did Burnley manage to secure their second home win of the season?
Is it all about just making sure that first touch is right? I was just hoping the lad missed the ball and then had an open net. Do you know what I mean? Had an open net then...
Chapter 3: What insights did the man of the match share about the game?
Yeah, if I'd have messed that up, I think I just would have gone off there.
You wouldn't be here now, that's for sure. Exactly, yeah. Jack, was it key winning it high up the pitch as you and Stephen Defoe did for the goal?
Yeah, we knew they did take risks at times. Sometimes they do try and play out, sometimes they play a bit longer with the striker. But no, sometimes they do that and it's a risk sometimes. We know at home that we can nick it and maybe get something. I think that's where the goal came from and a few chances we had came from. So that was definitely something we looked at before.
Just tell us about your role in this team, and in particular in a two-man midfield. You've covered more ground than anyone else in the whole Premier League this season, so you're tired now, I'm guessing?
Yeah, a little bit, yeah. You've obviously got Steve and Geoff in there working hard as well, and there's some real good quality this season. We've scored some great goals, and you can see that we're a team evolving, a team doing well, and we're working hard together, and it's all coming together at the same time.
And five years in charge for Sean Dyer, she gets a mention whenever a job comes up. What is he like to play for?
Yeah, he's been great with me. I mean, I've only been with him this season and worked with him previously a little bit at Watford. But no, he's a man who just wants everything from you.

Chapter 4: What tactical strategies were employed against Newcastle's organized defense?
He wants hard work and honesty at all times and just gives you that little bit of freedom and belief in yourself to show your quality when you've got the ball. So, no, it's good. It's nice and relaxed and a good atmosphere to be in.
He's the reason, Geoff, isn't he, that you're so hard to beat? Definitely, yeah. He has us working hard every week and the bare minimum is give it our lot and just make it hard for teams against us and then from there we get to go and play. Like we've shown this year, we've scored some great goals and we just need to continue that. Sean, a tight, even battle.
How pleased are you to have come through it? Yeah, very pleased and, you know, deservedly so in the end. You know, the margins are tight and I said before the game I'd be surprised if it's not a tight game. They've been very organised, very compact under a fine manager who certainly knows how to organise a side, without doubt. You know, they're making a good show of it this season, but so are we.
And a respect to our team, I think, when teams are coming and they're sort of camping in. Not camping in, that's unfair, but staying very organised, not trying to be open and expansive. And I think there's a little respect from our own form last season when a team does that. So we knew we'd have to keep going. We knew we'd have to fight for every inch and play for every inch.
And I thought we did that.
Do you enjoy the tactical battle with Rafa Benitez tonight?
I don't really worry about that sort of stuff. I'm more interested in my team performing and performing how I want them to perform. And I thought they did. I thought we tried to play, we tried to mix our play, we tried to stay calm with the ball, which we've been working on and adjusting over my time here. But then you've still got to probe and you've still got to find a way of winning a game.
And, you know, we've often done that and it's very difficult at this level to win games. So we've often found that way and we've found a way tonight with what ends up being a very, very good move and a very good goal.
Talk to us about how you wanted your team to play then. It seemed like you wanted to stop Newcastle playing through you and forcing them long. Well, there's a bit of that.

Chapter 5: How has Sean Dyche influenced Burnley’s performance in the Premier League?
and get them to do exactly what he's getting them to do.
Gary, you know how brutal football management is. Is that chance going to be there in six months' time?
No, what I'm saying to you is he has to look after himself, he has to make a decision that's right for him, but also I think he's the type of guy who will look at also the club and think, they've looked after me, they've looked after me when we went down. They got relegated and rightly so, they stuck with him. So they've looked after him, he's looked after them. But don't you have to be selfish?
Look, the world is selfish and football selfish, it's brutal, and maybe I'm being a little bit sort of, what's the word? Naive. Well, not naive. Give me another one.
Moral. Stupid. Moral. If he gets offered the Everton job, he has to take it, because Sean Dyche won't get offered a better job than Everton. He won't. Everton is sort of the best of the rank, this is in the bottom three right now, but in terms of moving forward, an owner with money, a new stadium coming, unfortunately, managers are...
say the bottom end of the table, maybe at a club like Burnley with not great funds to take them to top four, Champions League. That's the next step. He won't get the Manchester United job, the City job, the Chelsea job, Arsenal job, Liverpool job. He won't. The next one below that is Evan, really. A team who could maybe try and push where he's actually got Burnley at this moment.
And he'll want to manage his country, he'll want to manage at the top level in Europe, these type of things. Five years at Burnley. I think if Everton come in for him and he gets the opportunity, he has to take it. I don't think there's any debate. He has to if he wants to further his managing career.
We should say he hasn't, as far as we're aware, been offered the Everton job yet. The last time I looked about half an hour ago, Sam Allardyce was actually the new favourite for the position, gone in 6-4, because I think he had expressed some interest earlier today. But is it right that he is being linked with these jobs, Gary? Should he be on the shopping list, or at least under consideration?
I don't want to say bigger club, because it's disrespectful for Burnley, but you know what I mean.
