This show, as those who've been listening for a while already know, is all about analyzing the ways cultishness shows up in every day. life, to examine the ways in which we are all susceptible to cult influence, but also to compare how not all cults these days are created equal. And of course, to have a laugh about it a lot.
This week we're switching things up a bit and diving into a cult that's been orbiting the reality TV world. My bread and butter. A space built on the idea that truth is always just one episode away. What makes today's topic especially wild is that we're talking about a production company known for telling true crime stories that ended up at the center of one. Itself, the cult of Bellum Entertainment. I just want to talk a little bit about why I even wanted to do this topic in the first place. So, first things first, I'm in a group chat that helps employees marginalized groups, specifically women. So obviously, you know, this industry, as a lot of industries, are known for kind of like Not employing a lot of women.
