In Ep.132 of the Sports Therapy Association Podcast, we bring you Part 1 of this month’s ‘Focus on The Hip’, with special guest Holly Soper-Doyle talking to us about Hip Dysplasia, a condition defined by the socket of the hip joint being too shallow. Hip Dysplasia, more prevalent in women (8:2) than men, is known to be a common cause of developing early onset osteoarthritis. If left undiagnosed and/or untreated the joint can degenerate so much that it results in bone on bone contact and therefore requires a hip replacement. Holly Soper-Doyle is Specialist musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and owner of Integrum Physiotherapy in North London.
