Chapter 1: What are the highlights leading up to the Scottish Cup Final?
It's time to talk football. It's Clyde One Super Scoreboard.
Good evening and welcome to Clyde One Super Scoreboard on the eve of the Scottish Cup final Celtic and Martin O'Neill are out for a double after clinching the Scottish Premiership last weekend Forget trying to spoil the party Neil Lennon and Dom Ferdinand are trying to create their own history at Hampden tomorrow And it's all square after the first leg of the Premiership playoff final between Partick, Thistle and St Mirren I'm Gordon Duncan and joining me tonight you've got Cillian Sheridan
and mostly for the benefit of those watching on the live stream, paying his price for some horrific predictions over the season, we've got Hugh Kevins in his Martin O'Neill tracksuit. I have never seen you look worse.
I would like to say that Celtic have a 100% chance of winning the Scottish Cup final tomorrow, and in honour of Martin, I said they had zero chance of winning the league, and they did. Sorry, Martin.
And as if you don't look ridiculous enough in that tracksuit, there's only one pensioner in Glasgow that can pull it off. Someone has gone to the trouble, and I will get the name, forgive me, I had it earlier, of actually baking you a specific cake. Look at this. It says Hugh Kevins, and it's got the quote, Celtic have a 0% chance of winning the league.
zero Robert sent the cake in because this is what sets you apart I know this is the week where every mouthpiece in Scottish football has to pay their comeuppance for thinking Celtic wouldn't win the league but not many go as far as to say with a couple of games left that they had zero percent chance and you have paid the price
And I also said, if I am wrong and Celtic win the league, then I'm a mug. So I'd like to thank Charlie and Debs who have sent me a mug saying, I'm a mug.
Actually, where does this stop, Kelly?

Chapter 2: What predictions are made for the Celtic vs Dunfermline match?
This is your first show with Hugh, I think, perhaps. And this is a real introduction to the Madhouse because someone's baked him a cake. John at the Superstore sent him a tracksuit. Someone sent him... How many more ways can people possibly get in touch to show you just how horrific your predictions are?
The next time I say somebody has 0% chance, I'm going to say, and if I'm wrong, I'm a brandy.
Can you please take that off at some point? I cannot stare at you in that tracksuit all night. It's putting me off. No, you can leave it on for now. Go the first part of the show. How does that sound? Anyway, Cillian Sheridan back on planet Earth. There's a Scottish Cup final tomorrow, which, because this week's been so dramatic, nobody's spoken about yet.
yeah forgot there was a game on tomorrow and I'm actually I'm afraid to make any sort of predictions now after seeing all the cake looks good to be fair all the fire Hugh gets for it yeah but look at least you can enjoy it could be you could be sent worse and you don't like chocolate I think that looks that looks like a
Nice playing sponge for you under there.

Chapter 3: How does Hugh's prediction for Celtic impact the discussion?
But anyway, 01419511025. Let's try something drastic and look ahead to a football match. It has been a week of statements upon statements, upon inquiries, upon inquests, upon accusation and counter accusation and conspiracy theory. Maybe just for one final Friday of the season, we look ahead to a big game at the weekend. How does that sound? 01419511025.
are you going to the cup final tomorrow are you planning to sit down and watch it what are you thinking Celtic fans after all this stuff about 0% and all that and people said much worse than Hugh to be fair do you think you'll land a double if so what does this mean for Martin O'Neill if it goes to plan do you expect Martin O'Neill to get offered the job
Quite quickly afterwards, not as quickly as that other guy did, who'll be in the other dugout, of course. Can he be the one who ruins it all and makes history for the Pars? They've had a great cup run this season. I'd really like to hear from you Dumfermline fans, because with no disrespect to the Celtic fans, they're always phoning up about big games at this time of the season.
But you, this must feel pretty special. So pick up the phone and let us know. What did you make of last night's playoff game? Partick Thistle fans, St Mirren fans, it's finally poised on the scoreboard.
Chapter 4: What are the implications of winning the cup for Martin O'Neill?
St Mirren will have home advantage, but maybe Thistle are feeling pretty good about themselves. giving the performance levels as well. So anything else out there? We had a rough night last night. The phone lines didn't open till 7.20pm. So hopefully a bit more straightforward and maybe we can make up for lost time with thoughts on Jens Bertalasco leaving for Toulouse and anything else at all.
01419511025.
It's a monumentally serious decision that Celtic have to take in terms of the manager's position. Mercedes Jens has gone left the garage Martin O'Neill being coy about where his future lies today saying that he will speak to Dermot Desmond after Saturday And he'll want to do the double in case it's his last ever game as Celtic manager and he is going off into the sunset.
The job he has done, nothing short of remarkable. Celtic must regret the fact that they decided to do without Martin for the Premier Sports Cup final in December. So it's a big, big weekend for Celtic. And Neil Lennon, there's no sentimentality. Killian will tell you, no sentimentality in football.
Chapter 5: How do fans feel about the upcoming cup final?
He may have been a great player for Celtic. Martin O'Neill may have signed him. But he's got a job to do for Dunfermline Athletic and they've already beaten three Premiership sides, Aberdeen, Hibs and Falkirk. So if Dunfermline were to win the Scottish Cup, having beaten one third of the Premiership to get the trophy, a truly historical achievement.
I love the Scottish Cup final Killian I just think I love the fact that we still take it so seriously in this country you know in other countries maybe the cup competitions are diminished a bit I think it still remains one of our showpiece events it brings the curtain down in certain circumstances for Celtic and others it becomes part of a double or a treble and then you've got you know Dumfermline fans what a day out they're going to have I just love how big a deal it still is
Yeah, and I think it adds to it that the fact there's a championship team involved in the final, that's the whole magic of cup football. Any team can do well in it and progress and Dunfermline deserve to be in the final and I think they'll quietly, I think, fancy their chances or know that they're in with a shot. Just listening to Neil Lennon during the week and he's...
I feel like he, not that he needed to be fired up, but I think some of the comments that it's kind of a foregone conclusion will have provided him and the team with, not that they needed any more motivation for it. But like you say, nice to actually finish the cup final being the final match of the season. I know like down in England, it's kind of sandwiched in between games.
fixtures and stuff so to have it actually like a showpiece game um i'm looking forward to it and i just think it's one been one of those mad seasons where you never know never know 1419511025 is the number that you need so get in touch give us all your thoughts ahead of the cup final and anything else that is out there look back on the playoffs last night as well
And let's see where it takes us. Jens Bertolasco's gone as well. Hugh, it's been a busy old week.

Chapter 6: What are the key factors influencing the match outcome?
There's no such sign of winding down ahead of the cup final.
Well, I know that you and the Molo fans have enjoyed Mercedes Jens for a season. And what a season he has given you. It's a substantial leap. to go from Motherwell to Ligue 1 in France and next week he could be playing Paris Saint-Germain.
So he's trusted in himself and his ability and he's gone to a country where, I don't know, he's a Dane, I don't know if he speaks French, but he's going to have to assimilate himself into a different culture, different language and everything. But he did an unbelievable job And there were many Celtic supporters, I would guess. And some Rangers fans.
who might be thinking to themselves, I'd have liked him at our place.
It would be interesting to find out, did Celtic want to have a conversation? Did they? Did it ever get anywhere? Killian, or is this all made up from people on the outside?
Possibly.

Chapter 7: How does the playoff game affect the mood before the final?
Yeah, I'd love to find out. I'd love to know. I think it would be crazy if there wasn't at least a phone call made or some sort of contacts to see if there was any interest from him. Yeah. or interest from Celtic in him as well. I would have loved to have seen him go to Celtic and stay in Scotland.
I think it would have... I felt like if he'd went to Celtic, he already had the kind of like the safety net of his start at Motherwell was a slow start where you could see, right, it's going to come good. Whereas he's now going into a league where that's... they don't care how he started with Motherwell last season. So he's kind of starting off on where he has to hit the ground running, I feel.
And I just think here he would have had a little bit more leeway if things didn't start so good, if it was Celtic or if it was Rangers next season. But it's all pointless ifs and buts now. He's gone, he's made the move, he got us, he deserves it. Will Motherwell be due any...
compensation for it or yeah I think he had a one year rolling contract so they would have received compensation which I think they're fairly content with in terms of what you can what you can realistically demand yeah I know the way the club tries to do its businesses lots of add-ons and so on like that was the Lennon Miller strategy so
Chapter 8: What does the future hold for Celtic and Rangers after the final?
And they'll need to go and spend it on the next guy Yeah Well the next guy is very important Because When I think of Jens Games against Celtic and Rangers in particular He played the pair of them off the park As a rule Well 1419511025 James is on the line It's the eve of the cup final James what are you thinking tomorrow?
I'm thinking That You know that Normally when your team When you're the Celtic or Rangers supporter And your team isn't in the final You automatically
want the other team to win now tomorrow Rangers are not going to be supporting Celtic because they want them firmly to win or will they because if they firmly win then that puts Rangers out of the Europa League qualifying places so in a funny sort of way I think all the Rangers supporters are going to be going to their pals and asking for Lenny and Celtic scars.
Not a chance. That's the big issue tonight, Hugh. Will the Rangers fans be supporting Celtic? Honestly, I thought we were over the madness of this week.
If Rangers go into the Conference League qualifiers and the money is substantially lower than you would get for playing Europa League, that's for Andrew Kavanagh to worry about. The Rangers supporters worry about Celtic winning a double. So there'll be no Rangers supporter looking for a Celtic scarf or my tracksuit top. They will want Celtic to lose. It's as simple as that.
What are you thinking about your own team, James? Confident, I take it? You know, Championship opposition?
Yeah, I was on a few weeks ago before the split and they asked me what I thought and I said Celtic would win the league. You know, I had a funny feeling they would do it. I always thought back to the 1970s. Who will remember this? The 1973 Grand National when a horse called Crisp jumped into the lead over the fifth fence and it led all the way, all the way.
up to 200 yards to go and a certain horse called Red Rum came and passed by it yeah lots of racing lots of racing analogies you had Devin Locke who fell just as he reached the winning post and you had Foyne Avon who famously won the Grand National the heaviest outsider ever so for me Neil Lennon has done exceptionally well the results are there Falkirk in the semi
Aberdeen, trounced Aberdeen, 3-0. Hibs, belated winner. They've beaten a quarter of the Premiership. They deserve respect going into the game. But Martin O'Neill, he's on a double. And I think Martin O'Neill will be demanding of his players that, never mind it's Neil Lennon, never mind anything other than getting Celtic the double.
