Patrick, man, thanks for having me on. Much appreciated. Much appreciate the wings. They're fantastic. The thing about Sonny's Red that I I I'm enjoying right now is that I've spent enough time in Buffalo. I was joking this the other day. I probably I've spent more time in Buffalo than any non Buffalo resident there is. So I've sampled some wings places. I keep finding a new place that feels to me like one of the best ever. And this is certainly one of those places. It is.
And I'll tell you what. I mean we're getting these on wing night and I listen, as somebody who enjoys wings in his head, you know, whenever I can get my mouth on 'em I do. You don't get a place's best shot when you have wing night. I don't I don't care who it is. I don't care if it's sunny rides. I mean you name a place. If it's wing night, they're just banging them out of the kitchen so fast that they don't get that little attention, the detail. But even so, I even on wing nights, fifty cent wings on Wednesday nights here, by the way, that's just absurd. You get uh uh ten wings for five bucks. But yeah, these were good, man. We differ though on which ones we prefer.
Well, I I look I'm generally a medium guy. Like all all things being equal, I would be with you crushing the medium plate. Spicy honey garlic. What are the the the honey what you spicy spicy honey garlic. You said they're they're the uh the bulldog wings or something like that? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So you're the second one now to be up on them. Bulldog from WGR had those uh we did a show here last year. And he liked them as well. I'll tell you what, I mean, we're literally pausing our wings right now to do this show and there's still we're it's kinda hard to do this. But we're finishing them for sure. Oh, we're definitely gonna finish them. After the show I'll take you out in the back. Normally this time of year we would be out in the patio. The patio back here is unbelievably cool. But they're the they're doing redoing the bar and stuff like that so it's closed. So we're stuck in this hot ass bar inside with headphones on for And that's however minutes, but you know, you're a trooper will uh I totally have a good time.
It's fine. I got plenty of drinks here. I'm I'm all set. I'm good.
I wanna ask you a question and you know, maybe this is a stupid question, but sometimes I like to ask stupid questions. How long did it take? So of course now you're based in Rochester. You live in Rochester, you work in Rochester, you've covered the bills for a long time. You drive to Buffalo to and from. Very often for many years. And that's no hop, skip, and a jump. I mean it's not that far, but it's also not like, you know, getting in your car and going fifteen, twenty minutes to the office. It's what, a buck fifteen to a buck. Yeah.
I've got it down to about an hour twelve now exactly.
That's still anything over an hour. That that's a long drive. How long did it take for you to get completely used to it where it just feels like a quick song. You know what I mean?
