We are recording this live from Imperial Pizza in South Buffalo. And I'll tell you what, I am Really excited about this episode. Uh typically, of course, this is a sports podcast. It's not often that I get a chance to talk to people uh from the world of news and and from entertainment, but that's going to be the case today. Uh throughout the history of this podcast, everybody who's been watching knows I'm a big fan of reality singing T V shows. Uh I've been fortunate to have a few In the past, Elliot Yamee from American Idol, Matthew Schuler from The Voice, Addison Agin from The Voice as well, but those were all remote. Now I'm live in person with not just one of my favorites, obviously for obvious reasons, but
Somebody who's kind of becoming the part of the fabric of Buffalo at this point. Of course, I'm talking about Buffalo bass singer and songwriter Cammy Cooney is with me right now. What's going on? How you doing, Cammy? I'm good. How are you? I'm good. This is um this is different for me. And I really like this. We were talking about it a little bit here, having some wings, which by the way, shout out as always, Imperial. Real pizza, very, very good wings.

Your mom's here with us and she said that she's a little bit of a wing snob, and that even she liked these. So that's uh that's really cool. Again, big shout out here, Imperial Pizza South Buffalo. A nice crowd by the way, here in the back. Before we get into your life, your career, some you know, the ups, the downs, the trials, the tribulations, all that stuff we'll have. Some fun facts a whole bunch of things. I told you that I had a story involving you and involving Queen of Heaven in West Seneca that I have to tell you about. Um because if I don't do it at the beginning I'm gonna forget about it. So Here's the story. I like going to Queen of Heaven in West Seneca. All right, so every year it's it's Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Right. Friday and Saturday night at the bear tents is just you can't breathe in there. Yeah. It's hot, it's human, even more human than it is right now inside this restaurant, but it is just packed to the gills. You can't move. So a handful of years ago, myself and some fellow bear swilling Friends of mine decided that going on Sunday Early after like late morning, early afternoon will be the place. And it's a it's a great pro tip by the way for all you guys out there that if you like lawn fates and you wanna go and you wanna have some fun, you wanna relax, but you wanna be able to move around at least a little bit anyway, Sunday's Queen of Heaven, the place to be. You can get bare, you can move around, you can enjoy yourself a lot more than you could on Friday and Saturday night.
Anyway. So we've been going there and there's um an older guy, I'm I I apologize for not knowing his name, but he's a crooner. Yeah. And he always sings there in the morning and he just puts on the soundtracks. And he just sings the old stuff, Sinatra, D Martin, all that stuff. And it's always been very enjoyable. And I knew that was coming. So we would go there, we would do that, we would, you know, drink some beers. Yeah. Last year, you performed with uh with a band, your band, and I knew you were gonna be there. Obviously I know who you are and about your career and all that stuff. So I knew you were gonna be there.
