All right, what's going on, everybody? How you doing? Welcome to another episode of Talking Buffalo, your weekday daily driver for Buffalo Sports Talk and more. My name is Patrick Moran. Thank you for watching, for listening. Appreciate you guys so much. Quick shout out to our sponsor for today's show, the law office of William Attar. Heard in a car, call William Attar, 444-4444. Call William Attar today to get the compensation that you deserve. This is starting to become a tradition, one that I very, very much enjoy. We are deep into Buffalo Bills training camp right now, which means now for a third straight year. Live with me here from Sunny Reds, 1841 Abbott Road. You were here last year. You requested to come back here again this year, of course, for everyone listening.

I'm talking about Joe Marino, man. What is going on? How you doing? I see a lot of fans here spending some time with you. You chatting them up with them. Really cool to watch, man.
Joe Marino 1:21
What's up, dude? Dude, it's good to be with you. Like you said, a tradition. I look forward to it. Sunny Reds is my spot. It's a great place. The patio is amazing. That is. Food's amazing. They're good to us. And so glad that we can connect. Glad that we can get back here.
Patrick Moran 1:36
A lot of people came out here to see you today, including our good friend, shout out Joe Miller over there in the chair. Joe Miller. Taking pictures of us and probably going to make fun of us in a little while. What's going on, Joe Miller? A lot of people here. Got to say this before we get going, all right, because this is Talking Buffalo, and I have a specific type of audience, and you are known pretty well around these parts besides me and Joe Marina, of course, host of Locked On Bills. Number 23 ranked podcast in the United States today. I did go check that out.
Joe Marino 2:09
Is that where we're at? Okay. All right.
Patrick Moran 2:10
You're at 23 right now. That's it. I'm only top 23 podcasts in the country. You're known around these parts as the Podfather. How do you feel about that name? And let me say this. It is in the most complimentary type of way, but... The Podfather is how Joe Marino is often addressed on this show.
Joe Marino 2:30
Is that really true, or is that really just Joe from Queens and what he calls me? Yeah, but it's caught on. Has it? Yes, big time. I think Jay Spence said that a few times as well. I'll take it, man. I love podcasting. And so if if that's going to stick, that's fine. That's fine. I'll take it.
Patrick Moran 2:48
It's I think it's a good nickname. I like it. A lot of people here like it. But anyway, that's what you're known for. And again, for what it's worth, you definitely got in the Joe from Queens stamp of approval, which is rare because he doesn't like many people at all, including me to be completely.
Joe Marino 3:03
He makes sure you know that. I mean. You record with this guy all the time, and he sits there and says that he hates you.
Patrick Moran 3:08
And then you just keep talking to him. It's unbelievable. And he calls me Pannering Pat, which I'm going to do my fair share of pandering here. But let's dive into a few other things beyond that. So you're up here for the week, like you always do. You get up here, you want to see camp with your own two eyes, of course. What's the significance for you being able to come up here and spend a week like you are? You're going to get to see the last four practices. You'll be at the Blue and Red as well on Saturday, but How important is it to you? What's the significance for you to be able to get up here and see things firsthand with your own eyes?
Joe Marino 3:40
Yeah, I love the opportunity to just validate some of the thoughts that I have about the team or learn new things based on what you see during a training camp practice, and you get a feel for different lineups and how players are being used and what the body types are looking like. And so it's a critical part of my process to just get calibrated correctly for the season and try to really – calibrate my expectations for what certain players are going to do and obviously it's super beneficial to see it for myself and do podcasts based on my own first-hand observations but in addition to that a big part of my process has been things like this getting to come out here with you and got an event on Thursday night in Rochester got something on Friday that people will find out about in time and there's been a lot of good relationships getting to meet
