I was able to put on my bias vibes for the Sabres. How did you react when that overtime goal went in? Cause were you like me who were, cause we went out to a local restaurant and they're not a sponsor. You, they're not a sponsor me. So I'm not going to give them any, uh, free ads, but we did that. And then we got home in time to watch overtime. I sat on the couch for like, 20 to 30 minutes afterwards, just like staring off blankly into space. It felt good like a week and a half later to reach back that fandom point of being that disappointed in it. But in the moment, I was back to just sitting there just going like, how the heck did they just lose that game? Same.
Pretty much the same. And I've been pretty open about it, PK, on this show, at least anyway, and on my socials as well. I'm a Bills fan. I'm a Sabres fan. I've never run from it. But when it comes to the Bills, I kind of feel like I do have the ability, at least when the mic is on and the camera's rolling, to be a little more objective and and try to be analysts more than fan. I can count on one hand in eight years the amount of times you probably have seen me doing a show anyway with Bill's gear on. I have lots of Bill's gear, but I don't wear it on camera usually. But I have a Sabres hat on right now. I got a Tage Against the Machine t-shirt. I don't run from it. Yeah, it was... Heartbreaking, for sure. And after spending so much time just yelling and screaming at every play at the TV, sometimes yelling into the void, my pride drove my wife who watched the game with me, Game 7, absolutely nuts. I know I drove my son crazy. Silence after the game, for sure. Kind of heartbroken. Didn't really have anything to say. But it didn't take me long to really get into appreciation mode. And I've been harping on this show pretty much 24 hours since the season ended. I'm thankful for this season. This season brought back...
the joy of being a fan. And it's been a long time since I have felt joy watching the Sabres. It's been a long time since I would blow off friends and plans if they didn't involve the Sabres game being on wherever we were going to go. And it'd been a long time. In fact, it literally had never happened where I was planning shows around live reactions from Sabre games. Just so much fun. And yeah, It just, I'm thankful that I got to enjoy being a fan again, because it's been very laborious to, to say the least for the majority of these years, you've been doing this podcast with me now for a few years and you've been on with me plenty and you could probably count on one hand, the amount of positive vibe type of saber shows that you and I have done over before the past few months, you could count them probably on less than one hand, right?
