For some of you listening to this, actually, now we're going to have a preview talk about what the Sabres may do, what they already have done. um this is a it's a big episode this is uh the start of a well not the start because the season's already off season's going with the sabers but i feel like this is that next step towards what kind of team uh the buffalo sabers are going to put on the ice this season so i had to go a little bit of a big game hunting here and i landed my good buddy who forgot that he was going to do the show so I'm glad I did put up a promo on Twitter, by the way, for people listening who don't see us on the video side, which, by the way, thank you, everyone, for tuning in to Talking Buffalo, whether you're watching this or whether you're listening to this.

delirious so i'm gonna do my best chad's going to steer the ship for a lot of this show but what's going on buddy how you doing i'm good man yeah it's a busy time uh a lot going on but it's it's kind of bittersweet because i'm tired and a lot of late nights and busy but also this is really in about a week this is we kind of just go away for a month that's how rocky rolls so trying to savor it but while also being like man i could really use a break here
I was going to ask you that. Obviously, this is a very exciting time. Whatever happens with the Sabres is probably going to happen over the next, say, handful of days to a week or so, to your point. I know you're excited about that and covering it and see how things play out. And whatever they do or don't do, you will have breakdowns on that Unexpected Buffalo, your podcast, of course, too, as well. But are you also looking forward to... after that wave is over and then you kind of get some downtime. You know, I talked to a lot of people in the bills media and after like OTAs and minicamp, they get that like four or five week break where there's not really shit going on. And you know, that's the family time and vacation time and just catch up, relax, breathe a little bit time.
Are you kind of looking forward to that as well?
Yeah, I mean, we have a couple, you know, family. We have a couple beach trips planned here over the next couple weeks. But for me, too, it answers, yeah, I'm looking forward to it a little bit. But also, after about a week, I'm like, all right, I think I'm ready to get back into it now. But this is what I like about this part upcoming of the offseason. I kind of get to go back to my roots a little bit. You get to go back to longer form articles, taking your time, really breaking down, getting into the film, getting into the numbers. Like last night, you know, I was watching some Louis Cravier games and kind of starting to collect stats and stuff. So after this week, you know, I'll fire something out on Cravier and something on Zellweger deeper beyond just kind of initial stuff.

But yeah, I like it because then you really you can kind of think about some things to really dig into and take some time because there's not a lot going on. You're not trying to hit time crunches or anything. You're just you have time to really analyze and kind of think about something.
