Already starting my guy, uh Missed last week, back with me again this week from SB Nation. Matt Warren. What's up, buddy? How you doing, man? You you you you you feeling it, man? You getting ready for uh The start of camp like the off season is pretty much over. At this point, man. What's up?
Yeah, it It certainly is. And w you know, we're kicking into high gear with getting ready for training camp. I'm just trying to get my feet back under me after being gone for a week. I was uh at scout camp up in the Adirondacks. Uh so it was a little bit of being off the grid as opposed to on it. But that's like it was it's the right time for it.
When you do this for a living, like when you take a a a vacation, you spend time with the family or whatever, and again, not as a hobby, but like something full time as a uh You know, a a as a living. It does take a while to kind of get back into it's just like well, I suppose it's just like any other job, you know, as well. You kinda you you gotta get your footing back and get in back into uh the flow of things. You try to keep up, I'm sure, with you know, with everything, whether it's SB Nation or Buffalo Realm, these are all you know, all the uh the sites, but just also what's going on in the world and too and and stuff like that when you uh when you take some summertime off.
Yeah, we I mean, there was uh there was internet access up there, which is nice. Um I was sort of expecting it to be like a lot more dead, but Verizon uh came through. Uh shout out Verizon, they should sponsor me. Um but yeah, that it it it worked out pretty well.
I um I'm at a point where my life I ain't do a shit if I ain't got service. I mean I'm not going camp. I'm not going camping if I don't have somewhere comfortable to sleep, if there's no electricity around, I'm not doing any of that. There's no service. I'm not going into that area. I am not that dude, man. So you said with the scouts. Not m not my not my thing. I don't think I'd be able to handle it, man. I'd be I'd be way worse than any kid, I can tell you that.
Uh the East East Aurora troop was out there um from uh from western New York, but it was mostly Rochester troops. So
We're going to get into today. I got six guys that are kind of sort of under the radar. Yeah. Varying levels that I'm personally gonna be keeping a a very close eye on at uh at training camp this year. Again for various different reasons and that's primarily what we're gonna talk about today. We'll get to some other stuff. Um as well. I'm sure you're gonna be at camp a couple of times. I I assume we're gonna we're gonna cross paths. I I would assume. We haven't talked about this yet, but uh a at at camp. Hopefully we can get together and maybe do a podcast or two. We tried to for people who might who've been around for less than a year. You and I did record something last year at uh where were we? Pit Pittsburgh Dairy, right?
Yeah, Pittsford Dairy, um, or creamery, whatever dairy, I don't remember what it's called. Um, but yeah, I I popped over there after uh one of the training camp practices, and since you were out there the whole time, uh that worked out. I think I'm only gonna be at one training camp practice because it's so short this year. So I think Chris is gonna be out there uh a little bit more.
