This is Friday's United Daily Podcast. I'm Wayne Barton with today's news and rumours. A bit of a quiet one with some regurgitations this morning, but a a couple of new stories in here to bring you. The first one being that Chelsea have been linked with Marcus Rashford. Um Chabby Alonso's the new manager down there. Rashford's very much in the um prototypical Chelsea model of signings, isn't he? Um I I don't know if this is a good move for Rashford. I wouldn't have thought it is. Um I think Rashford would probably prefer to stay united if if that um was presented to him. Although I honestly wouldn't uh move to London, that's a separate thing. I think Chelsea is just a bit of a basket case of a club. And I think Rashford needs Um a little bit of direction, doesn't he?
He's had a couple of loan moves now and I think he deserves um to settle down somewhere at a club and um that club's not gonna be Boss Loaner, I don't think I'd I mean I'd have briefed that they're not looking to uh move him out on another loan deal and that's pretty much the the the uh approach that Barcelona were taking. That if Rushford's gonna move on, he's gonna move on permanently. Um but there is still that chance that he'll remain at United.

Um not because they can't move him on. You know, they might they're exploring all the options as well. Um They were ob obviously their idea o of chasing Yandia Monday, um the chances of signing him seem to increase when Liverpool agreed a deal for Munoz. But Liverpool are also targeting Diamande. They had a a eighty seven million pound bid in for him yesterday, but apparently that's been rejected. They're still pursuing that though. Um so yeah, United They're still looking at different wing options. Uh Somerville being one of those. He's been linked with Spurs this morning. Uh Jeremy Monger, who um is the very left field option, but he's the Leicester um kid, really. Um who's who's leaving this summer. He's been linked to Arsenal.
I don't think United are in for him. I think Arsenal are the the serious candidates there because they made all the early running. And um I think They made an offer and they go about with a second offer. So those are a few players who are off the table. Somerville um is a bit of an option, United have exploded. Um initial conversations with West Ham separate to the Fernandez deal. But yeah, all these players also that United have been linked to are being linked with Spurs as well. Um as is Nathan DeCat, the um Anderlecht midfielder was only seventeen, uh one of these uh football manager Wonder Kids. He's been linked with United and Spurs this morning. Um Milan, we've got Ruben Amrim in charge now, he has been linked with um bringing Manuel Agate to the San Ciro.
Some move for for Armorim as well to be fair, but uh if Agate got to move to Milan, I don't think he would be complaining. I don't think United would be either if they can fork out the money for him. Um that's it for the transfer rumours. The Premier League fixtures are out this morning at ten o'clock. The usual whispers and rumours going out um I I've heard the rumour that United will be playing every team twice, home and away. Tell that joke every year. Um on this day's a couple of birthdays to bring you.

In fact all of the games all of the Premier Leagues were games were live, weren't they? Because no one could attend. United drew that game one one at Spurs. Um, couple of World Cup scores to bring in Mexico through to the next round after defeating South Korea one nil.
