This is Monday's United Daily Podcast. I'm Wayne Barton with today's news and rumours. Manchester United are apparently set to announce the deal of Brazilian midfielder Ederson from Atalanta. Some outlets saying they will be this week. Might not be, you know, it might still drag on a little bit. The deal's all done. United have agreed a fee of around £35m, as I was saying over the weekend. It's a fee a little bit lower than what most people have been reporting. United have done what they feel is a good deal there. And they're still moving on the other midfield targets.

Why has interest in Carlos Beliba potentially cooled after the Ederson deal?

Wayne Barton 0:48
One of them said to be Carlos Beliba, but that interest could possibly have cooled as a result of the Edison deal. Now, this is an interesting one. This is a report. I think it's coming from The Sun. So take of that what you will. But I don't think that the two deals are connected at all. I think the idea that United can exercise a lower fee out of Belieber is the principal goal there, not to do with interested in going away at all. United are operating within the budget that they've got and they don't want to be held to ransom. But that's one way of doing it. Another midfielder in United's news this weekend, but much better news. Tyler Fletcher going to the World Cup with Scotland. Late call-up after Billy Gilmore was ruled out with injury.

Which United‑related player received a surprise World Cup call‑up for Scotland?

Wayne Barton 1:40
So good luck, Tyler. Brilliant. There are a couple of reports from Italy, so I'm not taking either of these with me. Any credibility, but I'll report them anyway. Lil Winger, Mathias Fernandes Pardo has been linked with a move to United and City. He only scored eight goals. I don't see why an Italian outlet are reporting on a French-based player going to England. But, yeah, there we are. I can't see Fernandes Pardo moving to England for United, I should say. That's the story. It's always the story that Harry Maguire has been offered to Inter Milan. Absolutely not.

Is Mathias Fernandes Pardo really linked with a move to United or City?

Wayne Barton 2:20
There's no credibility to that whatsoever. Harry Maguire signed a new contract to United. They want him to see the rest of his career out at the club. Obviously. All going well there. And a couple of happy birthdays to bring you. Happy birthday, Johnny Berry, member of the first original Musby Babeside, survivor of Munich, but didn't play again after the crash. And happy birthday to Chicharito, Javier Hernandez, who was a scorer of many crucial goals, wasn't he, for United? Very unconventional goals sometimes as well. That's it for today, guys. I'll be back tomorrow. Over the summer, we'll be running some of the feature pods that I did with Paddy Barclay, the

What are the updates on Harry Maguire’s contract and the featured birthdays?
